Tips for 1st time Shift 2 players?

Hey all.

I have a Logitech G25 and Shift 2 is arriving tomorrow, so I was wondering if there were any tips/tricks/settings to make Shift 2 handle better.

Friends of mine have complained that it's "rubbish" with a DS3 so is it ok with a G25?

Hi there for me its good with DS3 and iam driving better with DS3 than wheel . I had also wheel G27 and iam not playing with it . And if look on leader bord of shift most of them using DS3 like Thiagotrabo , hondy , Rizky and more and there time is good by DS3 . So its all about your drive still not about DS3 or wheel . If you are used to drive with wheel it will work out with you by G25 but it will take time to know how the car handel in shift 2 . Wish you the best .

Its great on a wheel you just have to adapt, Best way to do this is career, dont just go online and race A class as many do and then slag the game. Heres my wheel setting if you like to try them.👍

The one and only tip you'll ever need is this:

Give the game time to grow on you
Don't just dismiss it straight away because of the "unconventional" handling, or what other people have said it is like - you will overcome it and adapt to it very easily if you persevere with it. Once you have adapted to it you will find ultra competitive racing, to a degree that GT can only dream of right now.
 
I agree with smuttysy & Steve182rs.

This game is 'old school' in the sense that you can't turn it on and be instantly good at it. Rather like real life it takes some practice before you get good results, but then this game is more focused on the racing rather than the final result.

The more you put into it the more it gives back, once you are used to it the racing is sublime.
