Tips for a Smooth Install

1) Switch on the PS3 :dunce:

2) Connect the Ethernet Cable (Or Wireless if yer a Modern Type)

3) Sign INTO your PSN Account (Before you Install the DISC OK)

4) NOW Put the GT5 Disc in the Machine

5) IF you are Sure you are ONLINE you'll Get a Message Saying Version 1.01 UPDATE is AVAILABLE

6) Click OK and Let the UPDATE INSTALL(PS3 will INSTALL the DOWNLOAD and Re-Start , Don't Panic its Normal Ok)

7) Next you'll get a MESSAGE Asking if you Would Like to INSTALL the 8GB onto your HDD (it isn't 8GB more Like 6.4GB) Click Yes and go an make a Coffee , Roll a Smoke , kick the cat

8) 30-40 Mins Later the Game Will be Installed and Updated and all the Extra Stuff for getting Online will be Installed aswell (Course you can do the "Stare at a The Screen Like a Mental" If you wish :D

9) Go To GT Life First and Follow the On Screen Prompts , Let the Game SAVE Everything Up to that Point

10) If all has gone Well (i've installed it Twice now on two Seperate Machines) you can either Carry on with GT LIFE or Muck about in ARCADE

11) Enjoy the Game 👍

Dumb question: if you don't install it on the HDD right away, do you have the option to install later?
 
Also according to IGN if you dont install, the game will slowly install stuff as and when you need it. other tips include make sure you have enough space on you're hard drive and dont be fooled by the 20 minute estimate bar when installing. its not accurate. was on 3 seconds for 5 mins!
 
Thanks guys. I won't have much time to play today, so I'll skip installing just so I can have a small taste today.
 
Thanks for the heads up on the install. Hopefully everything goes well tonight. Since its a rental, I really hope it goes well.
