Tips for S-license victories?

Has anyone made a *written* guide with tips on how to pass the S license tests with high marks?

I know there's the video, but I think it's nice to have a written guide.
I'm aiming for silver on all of them.
I got silver on a few of them just with good acceleration, and good lines, etc. But some really need good strategy for a better-than-bronze win.

Here's some tips I came up with, on the tougher ones for me:

Circuit de la Sarthe: You can actually "cheat" on this one a little... certain corners, you can almost completely cut! :-} Mostly the ones without normal borders on them.
There's one right near the beginning, that there are tire skid marks to give you the hint.
Then there's the area near the start of the looong straightaway. You can cut both the right, and/or left sides

Suzuka course: ouch. no cheats, just strategy. I failed this over and over again, until I realized that I couldnt just floor it all the time and squeek by on the inside when I get close -- the competitors hog the corner, leaving no room for you!
So the strategy I found during the initial-S corners, was to slow down a little bit, but not ALL the way. You then have to trust that they are going to move out of the way in time.
Tough to explain,but.. You cant just min/max on gas/break all the time.
You have to keep enough speed to have passing speed, but also time it so that you catch up to them on the point when they are going to move out of the way.
Turning on the "drive line" hint was useful in this respect: not so much for my own line, but so that I had a view on what line THEY were going to use, so I'd have a better idea of where they where going to be moving out of the way.
Also, the drive line was distracting with the big "red" markers that normally mean "use brake". But do NOT use brake for most of the initial S section! It's uphill, so just taking foot off the accelerator, gives you a bit of natural "brake".

just check the videos then practise, practise, practis but the s licences much easier than the others

I found the S-License really pretty easy after I realised that I just had to go for it, if you didn't get it the first time, then go again. Basically, for example if you go by Grand Valley, you judge it by positions after certain corners, and if you are right behind one car when you feel you could be in fornt of him then go back and late brake or attack the corner differently to get ahead. I golded the S-License mainly just thanks to repetition which is how you gold the rest of them. I might have a look at this tomorrow if I get chance. Push push push and repeat repeat repeat ... I think I got them all golded with-in five attempts max.

(Personally I don't understand why you want a written guide, you can't beat seeeing the braking / accelerating points, and being able to learn the AI movements without playing but each to their own)

Practice? What ever happened to learning and adapting?

I am no expert, good driver or super tuner. I golded all the S license events using a DS3. The hardest thing to get used to was the need to high rev in the Alpha and take some different lines with the P3 on Tokyo. It took me a couple hours over the period of a couple days to gold them all. I find the catch up and pass racing much easier than making certain times.

Also every person has a different driving style. What works for someone wont necessarily work for you. my driving line is very unorthodox but it works for me and keeps me out of a few precarious situations in certain corners because I dont have to worry about AI or online racers slamming into me.

Compare speeds in corner. If the AI is flying past you, figure out why. Are your tires howling a lot? Are you pushing or spinning? Does the car behave differently under power or under brake? Does engine braking slow you enough if you risk more? Some of the tracks forced me out of a comfort zone, but once I realized that the car would hold I would push more and more and get what I needed.

You have to do each race a few times to find out how hard you can bump cars and on which corners...not all corners have the same impact sensitivity for disqualification. When I got gold on all of mine, I just hammered down and cut into 6th place on the first corner....you really have to get it perfect the exact spot making sure no-one hits you because that will get you disqualified more often than you bumping someone else.

Just takes patience, I don't usually get rough with the AI but I found doing these S-License races very easy if you know where you can bump and grind and are comfortable doing it.

What drove me nuts, was how many times I get disqualified, for THEM hitting ME? !!
sigh.
