Anyone have tips on the Altezza race. I totally modified one and I still get the crap kicked out of me on straight aways.

And another topic a have heard people call euro tail lights "altezza lights" which is more official?

try using soft tyres too to get round the bends a bit quicker without skidding....and just keep trying...you'll get there....

also, if you have the altezzaLM...which i suspect you dont...its a great help....

in Europe the Altezza is the Lexus IS200..so i dont know abiut the lighting thing...

on the straights you say, change ya gearing, make it a bit longer then you shouldnt have to much trouble, also you running T8's (tyres)?

T8's will definately be the go, even any slick tyre will be an advantage over normal tyres

i found slicks a nightmare on this car.....

i hated this series and just wanted to get it over, the car sucks...

i put the big softies on and humped the competition with the long gears bollocks suggested...

The lights are called Altezzas because they come off the lexus is200 i think... called the "Altezza"

They are typical rice gear for most eclipses and such nowadays...
Euro and Altezza are interchangable in describing the see through taillights, they mean the same thing.

NA-mod an IS, and use Sports tires, and the Altezza races are a snap. Or you could try the Amateur events first, and get that snappy LM edition to cream the competition, and mod that up for Like the Wind.

They arwe called Altezza taillights because it was the first recognized car to come from the factory with such a style of taillight, Even though the RX300 suv had them before the Altezza was in production. It doesn't matter to me, I think they look good on the Altezza, but that's it. They look cheap, tacked on, on any other car. All they do is cheapen the look of a good car. On the topic of the Altezza race, put T8's on there widen the gear ratios and you should be ready to go. Personaly I put sports on there and drifted the whole race, but don't try that until you have learned propper drifting technique (race drifting).;)

I raced this in a stock car plus chip... just keep ya lines tight and you will be fine :)
the amateur altezza series is better with faster competition.
with your setup you should be blitzing the beginners tho

If you're on the "racing" line like Ving says, then you can basically go round the circuit the fastest, just get your lines right ... and you can block them on the straights as well

In the Altezza LM you will absolutely whop them in every single way. If you're having too much trouble with the regular Altezza try winning the LM version then trying that.
