Tire Change???

Hi all
New to GT 5 and to PS 3.
I've finished classes a,b and c with not to much trouble. Now I'm i'm trying to conquer some the the class S races. Which leads me to my question.

In class S, I can easily change hp, wght, height etc. Am I not able to change my tires at all? I have about 12 cars from skylines to Ford GT's to integra's. I can't change any tires in any races. In the quicktune settings, just about every setting is highlighted and can be changed but tires.

Help, let the beatings begin!!!!!!
 
Than you just have to deal with it man...if tyres are restricted,than thats it,nothing more,nothing less:tup:

Then give me a car I can change my tires on in a class S race, just so I know I'm able to do it.

If tyres are restricted for a race then there is no way of changing them. You can change them in single races in arcade mode for all cars though.
 
I guess there's one way to clear this up.

You can not change tires in S class races as they are restricted in all races in this class. (Only in arcade mode)

Sorry for being stubborn, but I guess I need this spelled out for me.
 
Absolutely nothing, You can not tune your car at all till all classes a b and c are complete, no matter which mode you are in (It was mentioned in the earlier post about arcade mode, which has nothing to do with the thread)

Well it IS one of the closest games to real racing you know.👍

The Ford GT LM is a good car for a few of the tracks. You should be able to get gold easily on the S class daytona(the oval) race with that.

If the tires are greyed-out in the quick tune menu, you cannot change them. No matter what. Ever.

I don't remember if the S Class events had tire restrictions or not (maybe it's changed since the update?) but if you can't change the tires for one car, you can't change them with any car. It's a component of the race, and that's the way it is.
