Hey guys, i'm pretty new to GT Sport and playing now about 3 weeks. I got more and and more driving experience. I do hard training on tracks, and on dragon trail, i think, im not so bad now. In gr.3 on bop i can handle times between 1:35.5 and 1:36 per round, personal best is 1.34.9. I drive with a comfortable setup for me, and super soft tires. But i see again and again drivers, they do a 1:35.1 to 1:35.4 rounds with hard tires. I can't handle that tires with this lap time, mostly i reach a 1:37 and upwards with it. Is there a special setup to the car who makes the grip better for hard tires or that does not matter? I'm wondering about this really good times with that tires... any secret about it?

Thx!

With BOP it matters which car you are using.

But if they have the same car, then it may be:

1. your driving line
2. your brake points (do you brake hard or smooth, are you trailbraking?)
3. your cornering speed (do you smoothly apply gas after the apex? what gear are you in?)
4. your assists (if you use them)
5. grip bug :D (everyone faster than me has this:odd:)

watch some replays of top racers and look at how they drive and try to emulate. This is what I do

Keep improving!

I would suggest sticking to BOP with fixed setups and RH as that is whats being used in sport mode right now. Especially if your new to GT or racing, the most gains will come from improving your driving. A setup is for those last couple tenths and setting up the car to your personal preference amd driving style.

Hey John and Shottah, thank you for your replies. Mostly i keep the line, i think :-) But you are right, for breaking i need some more skills, but yes, i do smooth breaking as best as i can can and i do trailbreaking, as best as i can :-) Assists are all off except ABS.

John, do you have some tips for those replays and which users i should follow? As is said, im very new in this world. Thx!

Shotta, this makes totally sense, now. The car isn't so much comfortable with the fixed setup, but it is a very good training for sports mode, and the settings are the same for everyone. I never saw this from this side. Instead, i thought "bruh, this ****** car is so slow" :D

Nice community here and very helpful feedback. Thank you both, with that input i can go to do more training :-)
