As a player of both Forza 4, and GT 5, I realized that the two different games have similar ways that allow the player to balance tire longevity and traction.

In GT5, you can have sports medium, soft, and hard, and the same thing applies for racing tires. While in Forza 4, you can adjust the tire pressure: the lowert the tire pressure the better your grip is at the beginning of the race, but your tires will ear out quicker.
In GT5, the softer the tires, the better your grip, but your tires will wear out quicker.

Anyone here experienced about this subject in real life.

Sure, more tire pressure to safe fuel. 👍

More pressure -> feels better, more economic, uncomfortable, increased ride height

back on topic:

The effect of air pressure on grip is not that big. And the working range of air pressure under race conditions is usually quite limited.

^ I disagree. In drag racing the difference of 1 psi can mean a good fast run a blowout or not having enough traction to launch irl.

given 1 psi in a tire that large is ALOT of air but it does make a huge difference. Same with alot of race series irl they're only allowed one type of tire per series rules so they adjust pressures to get the grip characteristics they want.
