Tire sounds gone?

Has anyone had this happen to them? While playing in an online lobby (not hosting), sometimes the tire "screeching" sound just stops, an I'm left with more of a quiet grinding sound for the rest of the night until I leave that room. I race almost nightly, an this happens about 2-3 times per week. Any thoughts/ ideas?
 
The only way I know how to fix it is to leave the room then go back in.
Yes, many people have the bug and it shows up the most after using weather tracks for me.
 
Makes me feel like Christopher Reeves- I know something's going on down there, but don't know what.

This is highest on my bug-fix priority list.
