Has anyone noticed an appreciable difference yet?
The B-Spec race at Spa is identical. I assume the B-Spec race at Le Mans is much, much more difficult now. But what of the other races?
I watched 40 minutes of the B-Spec Nurburgring 4h with the Ruf Yellowbird, Ruf CTR2, HKS CT230R, HPA Audi TT, Lexus IS F Racing Concept and Art Morrison Corvette in the field and noticed quite a difference. (Note: the remainder of the field was comprised of non-competitive GT-Rs.)
The Yellowbird pitted after the first lap. It was in the middle of a pack of cars the entire lap and just over half way through, his pit indicator came on. No other cars pitted after lap one.
Most of the rest of field pitted after lap two.
The Yellowbird ran two laps on this set of tires as he was in the open and wasn't being pushed. It pits every two laps if it isn't pushed.
The HKS CT230R was the only car to run four laps on a set of tires and fell from the lead all the way to 7th because it had to fill the tank over 50%.
The Art Vette was in last place (of course) and had to pit every two laps.
Those cars jockeyed back and forth between 7th and 2nd the entire time with the CTR2 seemingly the strongest of the bunch with the IS F right behind. I was surprised at how competitive the Yellowbird was compared to how it used to run. It was 3rd, and gaining, when I turned it off.
My BOB used the X2010 as I didn't want him to effect any of the AI's pitting strategy.
