Tires...

I read a lot about tires wearing down. I´ve had both a Veyron and a Ferrari Italia both with soft tires that have worked as cash cows for a LOT of races (specially Daytona on the Turbo race in Expert). I have never noticed any loss of grip or degradation on my tires. ( I did drop from an average of 0:58 to 1:00 in Daytona race course for the Turbo race with the Veyron but I assume this is more due to oil changes and chassis stiffness) These tires probably exceed 3,000 kms and no sign of quitting. Where is the wear down? I am not really wishing to spend 36k on new tires but seems odd to read other people stating their tires lasted for a couple of laps. I´m I omitting something?

Tire wear does not accumulate race to race. Each new race brings a fresh set of tires. Also, until the extreme series, tire wear and fuel usage isn't even taken into account during the race.

Tyre wear only exists in Endurance races (the tyres last from 5 to 40 laps before you'll have to pit, depending on the track), Practice mode, Arcade mode and online. Same goes with fuel depletion.

You don't have to buy the tyres more than once; after that you get an unlimited supply of them.

Oddly enough, the electric cars' batteries still deplete if fuel depletion is set off.

I`m at level 19, i have drifted numurous cars for laps on end in practice mode and have never seen the tyres wear down,my rears should be shot to pieces but they just stay red for most of the time.

Have you turned Tyre wear/fuel depletion on?
