Tires...
I read a lot about tires wearing down. I´ve had both a Veyron and a Ferrari Italia both with soft tires that have worked as cash cows for a LOT of races (specially Daytona on the Turbo race in Expert). I have never noticed any loss of grip or degradation on my tires. ( I did drop from an average of 0:58 to 1:00 in Daytona race course for the Turbo race with the Veyron but I assume this is more due to oil changes and chassis stiffness) These tires probably exceed 3,000 kms and no sign of quitting. Where is the wear down? I am not really wishing to spend 36k on new tires but seems odd to read other people stating their tires lasted for a couple of laps. I´m I omitting something?
