Tire wear?

i remember when i first bought this game, i would do a few hot laps in my ek9 turbo and them tires would be smoking while i was driving normal, they would be all worn down and hot, and now it doesnt happen anymore, i havent changed the tires at all, any reason why it doesnt wear down anymore?
 
What were you doing with it. Racing it in A-Spec, Letting Bob Drive it, Driving it in practice or online.

a spec, and even letting bob drive it, both times when i got the game the tires would be dead and smoked like hell, and now they just will not even sputter even after a long long race
 
Wow. Don't really know why but it could possibly be that you use to have traction control on and now you don't.
 
For Bspec, Bob improves as it levels so doesn't do spin outs as often later on.
As for Aspec, perhaps you had traction control on/off? and skid force recovery?

yea ill have to test out the TC on and off, thanks guys for helping me, and skid force i use that
 
To my knowledge, tyre wear is only on in B-Spec and Endurance races.

well i was in a a spec race with my honda type r ek9 and i had tc on thats for sure, and them tires were just smoking the whole way, it was insane, so yea, i loved it, ima try it again sometime, does it only work with fwd cars?
 
Ive never suffered tyre wear at all, but then i have damage off and presumed that was default

that also happened to me before i updated to the newest patch, so i think it's because of the update.
 
Tire wear only is only significant in longer races
 
After the update, i don't have any tire wear problem. Only have it in endurance race. I guess the update change it.
 
Compared to the past GT4, GT3, this one brings in tire wear much later. I started to wonder if I'd ever have to make a pitstop. A Spec and B Spec, you'll have tire wear in the endurance races. A few before that too.
 
the reason is if you dont drive semi-nice for the first lap, and just burn your tires, they dont heat up right and moreso just wear down and make you have no traction, try be a bit nicer on the first lap dont burn out too much and it should help.
 
no but the thing is that i love the tire to smoke, it looks sweet, i wish the update never changed it, i want my ek9 to be shreadding it again ):
