Not to steal from MS7XWDC here, but just to start an independent thread here at GTP on the question.
I have seen tire damage that was not as graphically pronounced as the pre-release screens indicate. However what I experienced was a red graphic on the car status indicator that did not equate to a complete loss of that wheel but was reflected as a pronounced tire wobble. Driving wise the cornering ability was significantly less. So far I've only seen this on the front wheels, if that helps any.
