I have no idea why but every time I go into a room online my tires get changed. I have racing soft and they will change to sports tires every single time. Happens literally every time with the BMW m5 and sometime other cars. Does anyone else get this or know why?

The host can limit the choice of tires for the room. Could it be that the host only allowed sport tires?

Room restrictions won't change the tires currently installed. Do you have hidden tires ((C) or (V)) equipped when you join? Those tires cause the car to revert to default.

Rooms are always different and never set tires. I have just a normal M5 with regular upgrades. No hacks or anything weird at all. I even tried offline in a race and same thing happened now. It's so weird.

Hm... I've never heard of, nor tried, this. Does it happen with all of your cars, or just that one?

Yeah.
Sounds like it just might be a glitch. I have heard a few people on my list complaining about their transmissions getting reset to default (don't remember which car), so this could vary well be something similar.

Set your tires in the tuning menu not the driving settings. The driver settings menu is semi permanent.

It happens here and there with other cars. I set tires online, offline, in parts, in the other options thing. Thus m5 always changes. Once I exit a room and still online the next room will be reset again. It's so annoying.

Curiouser and curiouser.

I say it again. I have encountered this a couple times and ^ this was to blame.

I did tho. They were set there from the start and than it changed. I even tried it while online and still changed in the next room.

Its the racing Gods trying to tell you something. :sly: Get rid of the damn noob racing soft tires and drive on something a bit more challenging.

First thing I thought of when I read this thread is, "Shmo uses racing softs? Say it ain't so!!!"....:sly:

I think for some reason they always revert to the last tires you bought (that aren't dirt/snow) when you enter a lobby - I recently bought RHs for my track-tuned SLS that uses SSs to see if I could win the dream car seasonal with it for a huge PP bonus (long story short, I couldn't), and now every time I bring it out online I have to switch it to SSs again. I also get this problem with my 1/4-mile Audi LMQ (should be grippy RSs but is always given SSs).

Lol I'm driving the m5 fully maxed. Test it out without racing soft and tell me how you did. The car will burn the tires instantly than flip. No exaggeration at all. Also I like going as fast as possible and only racing softs can do that.

I just bought these tho. I only have the stock tires and these racing softs. Weirdest part is this just recently started happening since I had the car with the upgrades for literally a year now. Happened here and there before with cars but specifically this m5 recently all the time. I have no idea why but hopefully it just randomly stops just like it started.
