I noticed a lot of tunes on here are using racing tires hard

I’ve usually opted for SS tires for more supposed grip as per the car setting rating system

What is the advantage other than wear life for RH? I’ve also read that RH stick better on some posts??

Very confused..if someone with experience can clarify please

Not sure what you're talking about, got me a bit confused. But people around here use RH most of the time because it's the standard. It's much easier to compare your tunes with one another in the same set of tires so only the tune would be the variable factor. Back in GT6 though a lot of the tunes I saw (in road cars) were in SS tires. Seems like SS were the standard for road cars back then. Not sure now though

Racing soft is seen as a noob crutch and adds a lot of unrealistic behavior to a tune or car. Racing hard is more realistic as to what is in real life, more predictable traction/slip, better wear over time, and just a generally more predictable tire to use in the game.

I started an N600 BOP lobbie with adjustable tune settings. We had a couple of solid 10 man race on sports soft tires. This guy barely made it into the lobbie asking me to put RSS tires, like no go kill yourself. These are the same dudes putting RSS tires on 200hp road cars....

It's very aggravating because almost every lobby everyone is using race tires on road cars. Even the N200 class like you said. The challenge is to drive these cars on street tires not race tires. So at the moment lobbies are a waste of time for me. Occasionally I'll find someone running a N400 to N600 class on street tires but it never seems to get more then 4 people join. Maybe it will get better one day I hope.

Haha yeah I've had luck starting N class lobbies here and there but it has to be on Dragon Trail.... it seems to be everyone's favorite track so i try to capitalize on that. And then ill set the bop anywhere from n300-600, with adjustable settings.I found that you'll have an empty room trying anything else lol. You could do no BOP but then every one starts hopping into KTMs and other OP lightweight cars.

At the end of the day it's sad because you see all these people make requests for mostly road cars, but all you see are full gr3/gr4 lobbies. If you see road cars in a full lobby it's just a cruise/show off/ drag lobbie.

At this point I'm REALLY tempted to buy an xbox One X and get Forza... because you're usually guaranteed to find a room full of people in just about every class.

Exactly so many people asked for more road cars and the last few updates have added some really nice ones to the game. Then nobody race's them and if they do its always junk lobbies on RSS tires:banghead:
I would be more than happy to join up with you in a lobby sometime. I also have a good friend who will join too.

Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days for both of us.

Yes same for gr3 gr4..every lobby in nordschleife online using race soft or rss

So rss is seen as a noob thing in the community and is less authentic ...it’s funny my times are always better w rss but with my wheel, I get the best most fun feedback when I race w RH tires. Hands down. Last night I ran the f40 (@MINKIHL tune) w RH on the N-ring and couldn’t stop smiling. Def. a more authentic firm-go kart feel that the f40 is known for.

That's the thing with RSS. It gives you so much grip that it's not authentic at all and it takes away the personality of the car. It's the fastest tire compound out there, but at the cost of fun

In RSS tire lobbies I usually run RM-RS (RH if I'm lucky enough with the people in the lobby) and I only resort to RSS when I can't beat them

many times you can, because they will start to slide, then grip, and the RSS will throw them off-track or into a wall. It's the best tire, but once you lose traction it's the worst tire, imo.

This. Also people who use RSS tend to be less sensitive about the car especially if they use that tire often. 5/10 my overtakes are from people who just slide out of the track and don't even show signs of trying to recover. The last 5/10 are from the people you described

I don't see it as a noob thing because everyone finds there own fun. I'm just disappointed more people don't play on street tires especially in the lower N-class. You feel more of what the car is doing and what it's capable of when it's not glued to the track on Race tires.
Alot of cars in the game will become unsettled over elevation changes and kick the rear out at fast speeds. You just don't get that kinda feedback on race tires.
I just find it much more challenging and that's my fun.
