Whats an X box?
...just how fast is the new Ferrari? after a faulty fuel rig cost both cars a whole heap of time (Michaels car catching fire) they still managed to finish 1st and 3rd in Austria

I think the new McLaren needs to be released soon just to see how close they (think) they are to the red cars

and just of the topic, what about Mark Webber's drive? if not for that 10 second stop/go penalty who knows where he wouldve ended up, would've beat Ralf thats for sure
He just showed how much a better punter his compared to his teammate, started from pit lane, had the fore mentioned penalty, and still finished in the points

I never had any doubt the new Ferrari was fast - I was just hoping it would be fragile. Looks like even setting it on fire won't stop it winning, just like big mistakes under braking don't stop it getting pole position.

Haven't watched the race yet - the Jag's looking like a good thing. Webber more than made up for his poor qualifying with a points finish, although it'd be nice to see him finish in the 'proper' points (i.e. top 6). I wonder where'd he have finished with a top ten qualifier.

Button again proved steady and quick, finishing fourth and on the same lap as the leaders.

I thought DC ran a fairly good race. He really could of done better in qualifying, and if he did, I have no doupt he could of finished in the top 3. He's just been experiencing some(a lot) of bad luck. He really has to get his act together. Hopefully the MP4-18 will do the trick.

I think he admitted as much in Autosport - he's not comfortable with the car apparently.

I quite like David, but you'd think in his tenth season he'd have come up with the goods by now - particularly in a team that's scored two driver championships while he's been there. He can't have long left at McLaren, although Ron Dennis does tend to be pretty loyal to his drivers and he probably feels he owes Coulthard after the Hakkinen years.

perhaps, but Ron is now in love with the Kimster

you may be right, time may be short for DC

I gotta agree with about webber not bad at all.

Actually this thread is interesting now because the doubters were sort of right. The Ferrari fell back abit, but now the new Bridgestone tire has helped them get back to the top. Although i posted this elsewhere.. I think it is important to note that Michelin seems to have a clear advantage over Bridgestone, and this can be seen when looking at the classifications at the end of qualifying or the race. Its usually like 8 Michelin's in the top 10, and 2 Bridgestones ( Ferrari ). Once and awhile a BAR will show up, but not that often. I just think the new Ferrari is so extremely fast but that the Bridestone tire is a handicap for obtaining the full potential of the car. Face it.. the MP4/17D, last years car( with lots of mods.. yea i know ), has been able to keep up with Ferrari. I can only see this as a tire situation.. where if Ferrari had Michelins.. there would be no competition from Williams and McLaren.

I knew this was gonna come back and bite me on the arse...

just hope Bridgestone can get their act together for the rest of the year

Well you can look at it any way you want but the fact is Ferraris shield not so impenetrable, and they don’t look so tough anymore.

As far as comparing the Ferrari's against the compitition, the F2002 was an outstanding vechile (compared to its main opposition, if any ;) last year) than the F2003GA is to this years compitition

When did you type this up? As soon as you woke up or right before going to bed?

His post isn't that bad. He's just saying the F02 car was a lot better than the other 2002 cars on the track at the time, compared to the F03 car and the other 2003 cars this year.

He just doesn't know how to use parenthesis correctly. ;)
