For anyone who thinks they can magically choose which prize car they want, please read this.

IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD. A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION. BULL****. HORSE HOCKEY. A HOAX. NOTHING MORE. Read the interview posted on this forum with the game's designer. Miss Cleo can't even predict what car she'll get.

"Q: You can see the prize cars available rotating around when you win one, but is the order they come up truly random?
A: Yes."

This topic has been debated over and over and over and over and over....(should I continue???) It has gotten to the point where it is sickening to hear anymore talk about the hair-brained ways people have of choosing their car. (push the triangle and L2 buttons for exactly 4.5918002 seconds while spinning around barefoot with the lights off and spelling the name of the car backwards out loud. Do this for 10 minutes with two toothpicks, one holding the left analog stick at a 37.9 deg. angle and the right one at 9.2 deg., and you should have the car you want.) I'm not kidding here. Some of it is that stupid.

Come on, guys.

Totally agree with you on that one...

I must admit that I was fooled by the "just press X" thing, but i have realized that it doesn't work...

So remember guys, if you press "X" and get that car, it is nothing more than a coincidence...and if you get that F1 car in the fist try = luck...

I agree with ZO6 on this except for the toothpick part. Now the toothpicks won't get you the car that you want but it will do the racing for you so you don't have to. This is usually done on the Super Speedway Track in the endurance area so you can get the F1 car..:D

I find that the power of positive thinking helps for prize car selection. Either the machine reads your thoughts and gives you what you want, or you're feeling so positive you don't give a ****

I'm gonna bump this for a day or two, so maybe it will get ingrained into a certain few posters' heads

You'd think all this would go without saying, but some people can't seem to wrap their heads around cause/effect vs random chance. :) Thank you Z06 for delivering this very important message.

LOL. See im not the only one sick of these topics. In fact I could post one for fun:

before the end of the race, pause the game.jump up and down four times, hit your head on the controller 3 times, run 8 laps around your house, then wash your hands, then tap the PS2 lightly 3 times. Unpause the game and Finish the race. When the Prize car screen caomes up, scream the name of the car you want two times, at the top of your lungs, and you will get that car

ya know, it really sounds tempting, now that i think of it!:D

Actually, I heard that you don't need to do all that other stuff, just scream the car name at the top of your lungs when the prize screen comes up. This is PROVEN! Speedway Enduro, I screamed "F090/S" as loud as I could. I only set off two car alarms and guess what I won ----- F090/S!!! :)

"set off two car alarms." Man, they don't even have a smilie that shows how hard I'm laughin'. Funny stuff, dude. ROTFL!

Did you know that if you flip your tv over, so that it's upside down you'll get to choose the car color....

Take my advice, I've won every prize car available in the US version. I just simply threatened to destroy my PS2 if I didn't get the car I wanted (for the harder to get cars anyway) and it worked!
I only broke 5 controllers, 2 wheels, and 1 system in the process... memory cards were still in good shape at the end though.

Choosing car colour though.. hmmmm.. I'm gonna have to try that :D

thanks for apoligizing, but read the title of the Thread, Its Choosing, not Getting:D

You can get the car you want in the series races.
Save the game after the second to the last race of the series (make sure you have enough points to win without the last race points).
After you save the game, start the last race & then exit it right away. You will have have won the series & get the money & then get a car. If it's not the car you wanted just exit all the way back to the red starting screen where you can select arcade or sim & just reload the memory card.
It will put you right back to after the second to the last race. Start the last race & exit it again as stated above & you can do this over & over again until you get the car you wanted.
:D

This isn't what we're talking about.
