If you experience any problems with game that may be consequence of your Br wearing off , go into the > gallery > music> playlist> race bgm > there you select everything (songs) and delete . You can repeat this also for menu music.This way you will disable music streaming from the Br (If you just put music off through settings menu, it actually turns off sound ,but songs are still streaming from disc 
). This wont solve every problem ,but this way everything will load faster and your Br will not have to do a double job > load data and play music . Simple.
*you can always restore playlists later with restore option
If you want to quicken your install , you can do it by going into dealership and look every car. Game installs car data ,whenever you open (watch) a car in dealership. It takes about 1mb for std and 4 mb for prm cars > 2sec. After you will watch every car in dealership + some nascar , you will have every car data installed on hd. So game will no longer seek for car data on disc before race, which means faster load times and less br wear.
