Should Johnny1996 build a rig for his wheel?

Good morning/good afternoon/good evening, fellow sim racers. I am here to gather your opinions on my thoughts of building rig for my racing wheel.

The wheel:

I bought this wheel at a Walmart. It only cost $60 USD, has no force feedback, and only has a 180 degree turning radius. That's 90 degrees to the right, and 90 degrees to the left. Its name is HORI Racing Wheel 3. It features a flappy paddle gearbox (about as much of a gearbox a cheap wheel can have) and dual analog foot pedals. You can program the buttons.
My issue:

I don't have a lot of money available for this project, but a definitive budget is not yet assigned. As much as I'd love to be able to get something like a Playseat, that isn't an option. I don't have a lot of room to work with, either. I'm looking at about three square feet to work with, and that's pushing it.
My plan:

I'd like to be able to get some automotive carpet and make a makeshift, nonfunctional handbrake and shifter all surrounded by wood covered by the carpet. I'd like to make the pedal area compatible with flip-down pedals for a real car, just for an added cool factor. I'd like to make the table for the wheel compatible with all types of wheels, in case I can ever afford to upgrade. I'd like to use a seat from an old muscle car.
Cheapest option: Continue using the fold-up table and the floor, but with a car seat, no matter what car it came from. I really don't want to do this.

I really don't know what to do here, hence my created thread.

If you CAN do it, do it. Cheap wheel or no, having a rig really improves the whole experience IMO.

I probably wouldn't waste my time with that wheel per say. I couldn't imagine it'll help you all that much without force feedback or anything.

It really seems that you lack budget and space, I'd save both of those if I were you. Grab yourself a wheelstand pro or something, really good on saving space - which also folds up if you need it to, and it's cheap!

Alright guys, so thanks for all the replies and pointers so far. :)

I'd like to build at least a table for the wheel. The problem I have right now is that the position I sit in when using my wheel is one that begins to hurt my back if I play longer than 30 mins, since I'm hunched over. :indiff:

Or what I can do is get just a seat and turn it into a really cool chair with nothing else. :)
