Aybody out there, besides myself, choose to join a clan for the game they are addicted to at the moment?

I joined the Omega Elite.

We are currently undefeated, although, we just joined a ladder. It's a ton of fun, especially since it's with a group of guys that are cool, and dam good at the game.

I was in a clan for Serious Sam 2: The Second Encounter (now that I mention it, I'm gonna install that game again. :D). We weren't very good and we didn't last long.

I ran my own clan in Tribes and in CounterStrike.

My tribes clan was undefeated in over 200 un-official matches. We never signed up on the ladder because we all had weird schedules that didn't allow us to plan matches in advance. We'd just get together whenever we had a couple free hours or were bored.

I refuse to join a clan. Users with tags mean absolutely nothing. As I have found out with Halo, they are no better than your average noob.

Clans are ok, but they can be really stupid.

They're really annoying when they think they are superior to everyone else.

I like hitting a clan server with all their members talking smack, then laying the smackdown on them. It usually gets me the boot fromt he server, but it's all good. You would think that if you were better than the majority of the players on their clan, they would ask you to join. Nah, they just get upset and embarassed and boot you off their server.

It's good to have a organized identity if your into that sort of thing. Going up against organized teams can be fun for sure! It adds a whole new element to it.

I like it when we see a talented player join our server, although we haven't seen one that has beaten us when we try. Which, also kind of sucks, because I'm co-head of recruiting. I'd like to see about 3 more members.

But, when I'm not running around on our server, I'm usually out on other clan servers, giving them a reorientation on how to get their arses kiked. :D

Well, I'm glad you like solo play, I did that for the longest time. That is, until I got asked to join a clan, now I have partial control of a server, I have teamspeak, and I also get some cash on the side for beta testing.

I've been asked to join clans so many times, it's not even funny. I like being a freelancer.

I am currently in a clan called GPRT(German Pro Racing Team) wich a Race Driver/Race Driver 2 Clan.Someone here mentioned that users wit tags in their name are no better then anyone else. That is partly true,in my case it is not true but i have seen people play so bad i don't know how they got in a clan.

Back when I played E&B I was in a clan for awhile til the leader never logged on again so we all left and went elsewhere. Since then I havent been in a clan. I will only join a clan if friends of mine or someone I know were in it. I'm not going to join a clan of people I dont know. I wouldnt mind possibly starting one with a friend or two but I doubt that would happen.

I've been in a Half-Life clan for years, you miss half the fun if your not in a clan. Both friendlies & league games are fun, league games are obviously far more competitive if you play the right people & not some n00b clan ;)

Anyone can join a public server and beat most if not all others, whether the others are clan members of not. Makes no difference, its freeplay & just a larf. :)
