Standard tires (I prefer N2) not only provide "factory spec" handling, but they also provide visual details that sports tires don't, such as whitewalls, or red stripes, etc. depending on the make and model.

Whitewalls and Red Stripes may not seem like much, but they complete the image nicely. Such details are part of the "auto museum" PD tried to create, and are a perfect touch to a 'Ring replay in the '54 Corvette Convertible, or any applicable classic.
