Toddler gets killed by train...

By Associated Press
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A baby sitter was arrested Tuesday after a child in her care was struck and killed by a train, police said.

Katrina M. Hatton, 20, was booked into the county jail on a felony count of child endangerment, Police Sgt. Nick Muyo said.

Hatton allegedly led the boy and two other children across the tracks Monday, then went back for a stroller carrying her own infant, according to police.

The toddler apparently tried to follow her and was struck by the Amtrak train.

I think something like this could've happened to any toddler. It's heartbreaking to think about what the poor kids' family must be going through.

No no, she could have not been lazy and walked to where cars go over the train tracks where it's actually possible to get a stroller over the tracks. Therefore they could cross in one trip. But the question is, how did she not hear the train coming considering it hit the toddler and she couldn't have been too far ahead. So she first was doing something illegal and not paying attention to the toddler or how darn close the train was. Complete stupidity.

Oh and the person that involuntarily killed the kid was not the intended sitter either. The mother gave the kid to a family friend. I forget what the reason was but she left and put her roommate in the care of the baby. Two complete idiots. :dunce:

Oh, my bad. I misunderstood. I thought they were crossing the railroad in a desinated spot. You are right, the babysitter should have known better. 👍

I'm too lazy...

(18:04:27) DarkCharged2: You read about the toddler getting killed by the train at blossom hill?
(18:04:57) Nick: yeah... the babysitter is an absolute idiot...
(18:05:31) DarkCharged2: No ****.
(18:05:36) Nick: oh hay there's a train coming... lets cross now. :dopey:
(18:06:38) DarkCharged2: Lol. That's exactly hit
(18:06:49) DarkCharged2: you'd HAVE to be aware of any train sounds if your crossing TRAIN TRACKS!
(18:06:56) DarkCharged2: Ignorance at it's very best. (i mean worse)
(18:07:26) Nick: but wtf is this handing off of the baby sitters s*** too? :odd:
(18:08:14) DarkCharged2: I know.
(18:08:24) DarkCharged2: I guess she had to go do something and handed off the baby to her roomate.
(18:08:53) DarkCharged2: Then the lazy ass roomate wants to go to mcdonald, great, THEN WALK THE DISTANCE AND GO ACROSS THE PART WHERE STROLLERS CAN GO OVER THE TRAIN TRACKs
(18:08:59) DarkCharged2: if she walked to wherre cars pass over train tracks
(18:09:13) Nick: they should both be tried for neglagences and stupidity then
(18:09:15) DarkCharged2: she'd be able to transfer everyone at the same time accross the train tracks
(18:09:37) DarkCharged2: or just MAYBE the big red sign coming down might hint a train coming! :dunce:
(18:11:05) Nick: well that's the same thing as people in a car being impaitient for a train to pass and they get their car smashed. They are asking for it and it's unnessary stupidity
(18:11:11) Nick: wow I can't spell
(18:11:40) DarkCharged2: *sigh*
(18:11:42) DarkCharged2: was so sad.
(18:12:03) DarkCharged2: passed by the accident and about 6 tv trucks were there and a rather large memorial objects placed by the train tracks.
(18:18:10) DarkCharged2: Don't you think giselle bundchen is a goddess?

Didn't something, more or less, exactly, like this, happen not too long ago ?....

I'm not commenting on the babysitters actions - I think they speak for themselves...
