Hi, I'm new to this site, but I'd like to talk about this discovery.
Recently, the Spanish YouTuber Gustingorriz, along with his Discord community, found a section of the Forza Horizon 6 map that has a similar layout to Tokyo R246. It's clear this could just be a coincidence, given that both Tokyo R246 and Forza Horizon 6 are set in Japan, but I do find it curious, to say the least, that a part of the FH6 map has such an almost exact resemblance. What do you think?
Here the sources:

I think it's a missed opportunity if they don't actually make it a race.

There's probably some element of it being deliberate, but also not. It's clearly an identifiable area on a real map of Tokyo, near significant gardens, the Imperial Palace and is positioned close to the water/docks, as it is in FH6. However, given how large Tokyo is and how small the area of it is in FH6 by comparison, it's clearly been deliberately included as a nod to Gran Turismo. It won't be the only reference to Tokyo/Japan in gaming/media. Mount Akina is clearly visible in the map in reference to Initial D, Hakone Nanamagari hairpins, also familiar from Initial D, the circuits bear resemblance to Tsukuba and Fuji/High Speed Ring and I have no doubt there will be other nods scattered throughout.

The stretch of road lined with trees (after the first corner on GT’s R246) in real life is apparently a famous spot in Tokyo for car enthusiasts to take pictures; if you check the actual road on Google Street View you can see various people doing just that if you go back through the history. There’s a handful of videos of people driving the real thing too, and in almost all of them you can see all sorts of interesting cars parked down that street.

Given their research, it’ll be partially included because of that significance, but it’s most definitely a nod to GT first and foremost, and there will almost certainly be a race around it. They included a near perfect recreation of one of the Edinburgh tracks from PGR2 in Horizon 4, so sneaking in things like this is obviously something PG like to do whenever they can.
