Nice work on finding this

Wow! Nice find.

If you find something really unused, tell https://tcrf.net about it. Prepare a wiki page there. (But read the rules there first).

On TXR0, I found those instead - traffic car descriptions!
This is an annoying vehicle that overlaps traffic lanes and rides around Tokyo's expressways as if it owns them. It has the worst power, speed, and driving manners.
This type of vehicle has inhabited Tokyo's expressways for countless years. You will find them on all routes, day or night. [appears thrice]
These gigantic vehicles have been driving throughout Japan for countless years. Their large size makes them awkward, and they drive around coastal roadways as if they owned them.
These vehicles slowly make their way over Tokyo's expressways late at night. They carry a sign reading "Under Construction" and often stop, blocking traffic lanes and causing unexpected late-night traffic jams. You will find them almost everywhere. [appears thrice]
This car is about to inhabit Tokyo's expressways. You will find him on all routes, day or night.
This minivan is about to inhabit Tokyo's expressways. You will find him on all routes, day or night.

I own all the JDM Genki "answer keys" and most of them have detailed scientific charts of all the B.A.D. names and the conditions needed for each one to appear. There's a lot of Japanese text, but I can scan and post if you want.

That would be amazing if you could do that!

Also, if you're unfamiliar with the differences between KB1 and TXRD, the USA release was pretty hacked up. Ford, Lotus, and De Tomaso were removed, and in their place Audi and Alfa Romeo were added from KB2 Chain Reaction. They could do this because KB2 Chain Reaction was already out by the time TXRD was released.
As an aside, KB2 Chain Reaction never got a US release, but was available in Europe (PAL), which is the only way to play it in English.

A while back, I documented all the cars on igcd:

I don't have anything Kaido scanned yet, but here is the SB01/TXR3 chart as an example. Short of having a Japanese speaker translate, there are ways to manually decipher the text, but they are time-consuming.

Nob Yellow 2.png
This was from the Japanese version of Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift seen in the credits... this is something I really want to know about because this car is basically a re-skin of the N.O.B Silvia S15 but in yellow. If you've played most of the games (or at least the third one), there is someone who is associated with driving yellow versions of tuned cars. So part of me wants to think this was originally going to be the car for Kaido President.

Kaido President (#105) drives a yellow Pantera in the original release.

The only yellow S15 in the rivals list is for Bozo Hawaiian (#098).

Where does one get these booklets? Their not the ones that come with the games are they? Have been meaning to get the Japanese versions of the games for ages but never got around to it.

They were Strategy Guides sold only in Japan.

I knew about the Pantera and Bozo Hawaiian but the back of that S15 seen in the credits really reminds me of NOB's S15 colored yellow for some reason. Maybe its a stock S15 with a body kit but if that's the case then what's up with the stickers on the window? The guides you have for the games are interesting too, going back to the thing with the Pantera in the American release he drove a Black NSX (NA2).

Do the other two books over the Kaido games include rival cars/stats as well?

Man this crap gets interesting; I'm going to go back into searching for more info into TXRD, the problem with TXRD2 is that the game is encrypted. So I may need help with a big game with this. The reason I told you the Manufactor's Data in the game itself. So I think I can get more info, also I found a full list of rivals with in the Hex Editor.

Edit:)

Extra Car Manus. found...
Found Infiniti and Lexus, Interestingly enough.

Some of the KB1 cars were re-branded as Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti for TXRD, but the changes only amounted to new names and new badges. The effort was minimal--the NSX-R from KB1 became a fictional Acura NSX "A-Spec" in TXRD.
All the Mazda cars got Western names as well--for example the Mazda Atenza became the Mazda 6.

Thank you! Do you plan to do the other two books by some chance?

Sure, if there's enough demand.

I wonder if the book for KB3/KR2 has the secret wheels in it.

Yes, because they weren't secret in the Japanese release. They were removed from the parts shop in the overseas releases because of licensing, but still turned up on used cars, probably as an oversight.

I'd love to see the other books , the first one is interesting... I wonder what the others are like.

I plan on buying Kaido Battle 1 through 3 since I do have a modded PS2, can't wait to play it once I get them, I may look through those.

Sorry for double posting this on my thread, but after looking at Zero's image I found that is some other Silvia S15 than a NOB. I can't be for certain, but it looks to be a different build than the final product we got from the ending FMV.
