Well, look at my post count, it's taken a very long time to post the last 1000. About 3/4 of a year to be precise. Now I have 5000 of the bloody things.
I spent a long time lurking this site keeping up with GT5 news and what was happening with it, for about a year I would check most days for news about a game I didn't think I'd ever play (no really, I didn't have a PS3). Until New Years came, and I saw a post about the forums in the news section. I think it was a happy new years of a ten year post. At this point I didn't even know what a forum was, let alone that GTP was one. So I had a look, found the GT5 photo galleries, spent a few days lurking before trying to sign up to the site... At that point of my life I was still extremely stupid, so it was a headache to sign up, much like my mother is to buy something off of a site that she hasn't used before (but using the same system as every other site in existence). And at approximately 11:41 PM on January 5th 2011 (when I got the verification email) I signed up to GTP, eventually making my first post with a crummy old GT4 shot in the GT4 general photo thread with some bad grammar (why are there no full stops? WHY!?) (yeah that's right, I didn't post a thread saying, "Look at my shot" in the Rumble Strip like some people have in the past. Or maybe I posted in the photo request thread? I'm not sure and can't be bothered finding out.
Almost two years later I have met loads of great people without actually seeing them in reality, but gotten to know that they are great people. People like Bopop4, Crooooooow, Daniel, Fabmaru, Jus1029 Korza, Liquid, Prince M5, Ryou, SVX, Vandenal, and of course many other great people. Those of which who I do tend to consider as better friends than the ones I know locally. Being on GTP had been almost 2 years, and 5000 post later, what else has happened?
First, I've made 5000 original posts... In fact that is a complete and utter lie, many of them were generic "Nice work" posts gained by commenting on the threads of the talented game photographer's galleries and talented writers of the fan fics found around the place. Wait no, let's start this long line of crap no one wants to read again..
I've started to create messages which don't lack full stops at the end, and are easier to read; I've learned a lot about things and places and stuff; and I've had Studio DHX start their takeover by slowly making me age backwards and swap gender (first they make ponies, and then they make Littlest Pet Shop into something awesome too).
So pretty much to round up the giant horrible message that you hopefully didn't take the time to read (who would want to read a message this moron had taken too much time out of his day to type up anyway?), I've got 5000 posts, thank you to all of the great people here at GTP for creating such a great place to be, and here's to more annoying moronic posts that will literally make you feel that I should have never come out of the womb alive.
