Help a newbee out. Tired of the game site's reviews and want some perspective from actual players.

My 360 has been off for some time but has recently been taking the lime light away from the PS3 and am looking for more games.

Currently, some of the top games I have been playing lately are:
  • Banjo (for the kids)
  • Call of Juarez
  • Fuel
  • G-Force (for the kids)
  • Ghost Busters
  • God Father 2
  • Harry Potter and the .5 blood Prince (for the kids)
  • King of Fighters 7
  • Left 4 Dead
  • Lego - Star Wars
  • LOTR Battle for Middle Earth
  • LOTR Conquest
  • Midnight Club: LA
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Price of Persia
  • Prototype
  • Red Faction
  • Sacred 2
  • Saints Row 2
  • Skate 2
  • Street Fighter 4
  • Tails of Vesperia
  • Tomb Raider Underworld
  • Watchmen
  • X-Men Origins

Are there any MUST HAVES that I have missed?

Any help is appreciated.

While Call of Duty 4 is not exclusive to Xbox 360, so many of the online features are unique to Xbox Live.

Get on CoD4, I'd run with ya. :D

Nice...If I find a used copy. I've been playing it on "another" console. :D

What I like best about it on Xbox Live is that you can see what mode your friends are in. Like TDM on Backlot, then you can even join in, which is VERY cool. And I'm still not sure if PSN has this feature or not, but you can just hook up the audio dialogue(mic), just with your friends, and other players will not be able to hear you. I prefer that, so you can say anything and get away with it...... I mean, without upsetting other players. :D

I've been playing on PS3 more than Xbox. I'll send you a invite on PSN for now. :)

Come on Pako use that crazy PC of yours for something besides benchmarks. :p

Gears 2 is pretty fun (especially co-op), and while not exclusive if you haven't got Fallout 3 yet I'd definitely recommend that.
Mass Effect is also a must-have, the two R6: Vegases (Vegasii?)...and I hate to say it but Halo 3 online is pretty damn fun.

I use it for Mafia Wars on Facebook if that what you mean....

In all honesty, the PC gaming market has been sucking in my opinion. I remember when PC games came first then we would wait for the console ports. Now it seems more games are hitting the consoles first while we wait for the PC ports.

Show me a must have PC game, and I'll get it today.....

Yeah consoles is where the money is for publishers, I just don't like using a controller for fps's so I use PC games for them and most other sims.

Flight simulator X, though thats generally a specialty game, it does have fun mission flights like red bull racing and fully supports the Xbox360 controller.

I am currently playing Arma II (fps), which for now is PC only, it is on the simulation side, though has difficulty settings. You play as a Marine recon team who gets involved with a civil war (eastern europe) which then Russians get involved in. Besides the campaign (which you start by taking commands then working your way up until you're commanding whole armies) it has in depth yet fairly simple mission/scenario builder, multiplayer including coop. It's open world with any vehicle/aircraft/weapon/machine usable.

All the Lego ones are awesome, Kate and I love playing them together. I find the Star Wars ones to be the best though.

Thanks guys. This gives me a good rental list to check some games out to see if they are purchase worthy. 👍

I'll donate a narrow list with some upcoming titles worth a look:

  • Project Gotham Racing 4 (my favorite racing game of this generation, so far)
  • PURE
  • COD4 & Modern Warfare 2
  • Tom Clancy's HAWX
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance (sequel coming soon)
  • Batman Arkham Asylum (a must-play, I think - out on the 25th)
  • Fallout 3
  • Forza 3 (October)

There are a few XBL Arcade titles out there as well, Boom Boom Rocket (or whatever its called) is a lot of fun. I do hear that they may do a port of Scribblenaughts on XBL, which would totally be worth it.

Batman - Arkhams Asylum is awesome, demo is available.
