In GT5 I made up a few Top Gear Challenges for me and my brother. Obviously back then we were using the Top Gear Test Track a lot but you can do them anywhere.
Captain Slow Challenge
1. Each obtain a car with less than 69 hp. Then take it to Laguna Seca track for a series of challenges.
2. At the Laguna Seca track (practice mode). Can your car do a hill start up the sand on the famous corkscrew corner? 5 pts if you can.
3. Then have a 2 lap race around the Top Gear Test Track. 10pts to the winner
4. Spend up to 69,000 credits improving your cars.
5. Do a practice lap of the Top Gear Test Track quicker than a Go Kart.
1 pt for every second quicker, loose a point for every second slower.

1. Each obtain a van from the following list of standard vehicles:

Then wait for a series of challenges.
2. To test performance; do a 1 lap race of the Daytona oval. 5 pts to winner
3. Of course, vans are about load space and carrying things. The van with the largest volume wins 5pts.
4. 90% of all bank robberies involve a van. Inspector Stig of the Yard (in a GTR Pace car) will give you a 10 second head start around the top gear test track. The van than gets furthest wins 5pts.
5. Just for the cameras, there’s 5 bonus points if you can flip your van onto its side or right over. Use the Top Gear Test Track to try.

Epic Race Across Europe
1. Buy your favourite European supercar (road version) then equip it for a race.
2. You’ll be racing across Europe through England, Spain, France, Germany and Italy. Jeremy you will drive in your supercar while James/Richard takes the bus. Go to the Top Gear Test Track to start.
3. Do the following journey and note the times. (If the supercar has

Classic 70’s Supercar Challenge
1. Each obtain a powerful classic 70’s supercar.
It must be a road car (not race or rally) from the 1970’s with at least 350 hp. No alterations are allowed, not even tyres. Then wait for a series of challenges.
2. High speed test
Individually race in the Supercar Festival (A Spec Professional) 5 pts awarded for the highest speed obtained. Bonus 5 pts for winning the race.
3. 2 lap battle
Have a 2 lap race around the Top Gear Test Track. 5 pts to the winner.
4. Handling
It is well known that classic cars have reliability problems and poor handling. We cannot test reliability but we can test handling.
Create a random twisty circuit around Eiffel Park.
Do a time trial around the course. You are only allowed 4 laps to post a valid lap time.
The winner of the last test goes first. 10 pts for the fastest lap time.

1. Time to do battle against the German Top Gear team. (You’ll probably want a Triumph Spitfire.
)
2. Race a Lotus Elan S1 ’62 against a Volkswagen Golf 1 GTI ’76 in a 3 lap race around the Autumn Mini Ring.
3. Claim ownership of the Mini Cooper.
Using a new Mini Cooper, do a 2 lap, one make race around the TGTT. Use the 2 cars on top driving position. (One person steers, the other does the breaks and accelerating.)
4. Aston Martin DB 9 vs BMW M5
Do a 3 lap race around London
5. Mclaren F1 vs McLaren Mercedes SLR
Do a 3 lap race about Nurburgring GP/D track
