top speed

Hi everybody Im new to this site and I dont know if this topic has been brought up but I was wondering whats the top speed you can get in this game. Mine is 250mph with a R34 with every modification in it. I got this on the test track obvisouly and I drafted off other cars. I also set the gear ratios as wide as they go aslo.

I am new as well johny, next time do a search. This really annoys everyone when you post your first thread and it has been done before. If you had done this you would have discovered that your top speed is only average.

Hi, johnny, and welcome indeed to GTPlanet. As UH said, this is a frequent topic. Click the Search button, and put "top speed" into the box. Then pick the options to search "Titles Only" and restrict the search to the GT3 forum. This will give you pretty relevant results.

I can do over 900 in the Escudo  (wheelie trick)

However, my best speed in a non-race car I think is 274 in the Espirit V8-Turbo, without the assistance of the assistance of a slingshot draft off a Viper. Teh Sport 350 I think is just a tad slower because of the aerodynamic drag of the rear spoiler and side skirts. I could be wrong, though.

I don't remember the top speed on the ZZII, but it's up there. C12S and C12R are in second and third. I'm suprised the extra 100 or so horsepower of the C12R didn't offset the aerodynamic drag of the spoilers. All cars I top speed test have at least 500 miles on them, racing or otherwise, with a fresh car wash and oil change:D

Indeed. The 'normal' Esprit is just a bit quicker than the SE. I found that NOT applying weight reduction also made the esprit faster.

Me and a friend were having a competition a while ago, in which we took 20 minute turns for a whole day to tweak and run our Esprit's, I used the SE and only managed 279, whereas the normal Esprit clocked 290.

In the Escudo on the test track with a ton of tweaking I got just over 300 mph just driving by myself. I have found that I could get no faster from drafting because every other computer car was going so much slower (around 200 mph) that i would only be behind then in the draft for a split second, then i'd have to swerve very hard to avoid rear ending them. With the Escudo, buy every power adder you can, drop the suspension ALL the way, reduce down force as much as possible. Then drive a bit and change your oil, do this a few times and you should be well over 1800hp. Then test your machine and keep tweaking with the different gear ratios until you can break 300 mph. If anyone is interested, let me know, I'm sure I have the settings saved on my card, and I can give you the exact speed I reached, I believe it was either 304 or 305 mph. I did this probably about 2 years ago, seeing this thread reminded me of it.

I got like 280 in my RUF CTR2. I messed with the gear ratios a lot to do so. I got that top speed in the mid RPM range in the 5th gear.

The fastest I ever went was 1524 mph when I did the hp code with game shark. I set it up to wheelie then the speed went off the charts. It was crazy. I used the Diablo race car (which I got from game shark.) Well there you have it.
