  1. Subaru -- Boxer engines, practical fun, lightweight and compact, commonly manual transmission
  2. BMW -- Inline-sixes, RWD, handsome wedges of the '60s-'80s
  3. Porsche -- Boxer-engined RRs, and some of the best shapes in automotive history
  4. Nissan -- Fairladys and Skylines and Silvias, oh my!
  5. Lotus -- Featherweight scalpels, including the Seven
  6. Mazda -- Rotaries and MX-5s, but mostly rotaries
  7. Volkswagen -- Boxer-engined RRs and FWD cars I actually like
  8. Toyota -- Fun cars before they decided to become the next General Motors
  9. Audi -- Nice designs, inline-fives
  10. Mercedes-Benz -- I needed a #10

This, but change out Mercedes for TVR. HMs include Caterham for the "modern" 7 (Lotus up top there for the original 7), Honda because cheap track/AutoX projects, and Suzuki because Cappuccino.

But SO much this:
Mazda -- Rotaries and MX-5s, but mostly rotaries

This like picking your favorite child! Really tough!

-BMW (Straight 6s with ITBs forever)
-Mazda (out of the box engineering)
-Honda (Amazing engines make for the ricers)
-Alfa Romeo (dont really need a reason!)
-Lancia ( Rallying heritage)
-Audi (Just the early 5 cylinder Quattros)
-Porsche (mainly for the Carrera 4 cam engine. So Amazing in 1954!)
-McLaren (the F1 roadcar and the Formula 1 cars)
-Aston Martin (the 6.0 V12 and that signature shape.)
-TVR (Super powerful and super lightweight equals super crazy.)

HM- Ford (for the Mustang and RS200), Subaru (only because of C. McRae[RIP]), and Ferrari (just the engines).

Hmm...

1) BMW
2) Alpina
3) ..
4) .. hmmmm..
5) err..
6) ... ?
7) . . .
8) ..........
9) ah, umm...
10) Aston Martin?

1. Porsche, because they have never built a single bad car in 60+ years.
2. Ford, because I own one and they are much better than Chevy and Dodge.
3. Lamborghini, because insanity.
4. 20th cetury Lancia, because of beauty and rally dominance.
5. Pagani, because it's one of the few independent supercar makers left.
6. BMW, because they are styled well and fun to drive.
7. Mercedes-Benz, because they are classy and very well-made.
8. Land Rover, because they haven't built any cars I really like, but have never built a car I dislike.
9. Pontiac, because they were styled well and were the only good cars to come from GM.
10. Saleen, because they make modern muscle cars cool. And because of the S7.

Honorable mention: Shelby, because it's an American icon.
