Welcome to the Sign Up & Warm up Race for TORC 13
This season will remain with the popular format from past seasons, with a few small changes.
1. This season will be shortened to 4 races, due to the potential release of GT4 at the start of November.
2. 3 out of the 4 races will be using Simulation Cars, all drivers will still use the same settings.
General Series Information is as follows...
Season 13 consists of 4 Races, varying from 2 laps to 5 laps.
Races will be run in Arcade & Sim mode.
Practice is unlimited.
Sector 2 times are the only times that may be discussed during each race.

Again this season you get the chance to vote on what car you want on each track. You will need to PM or E-Mail me your car selections for the Races.
Race 1 will be voted on during Sign Up.
Race 2 will be voted on during Race 1.
Race 3 will be voted on during Race 2.
Race 4 will be voted on during Race 3.
The voting MUST be kept private, there is to be no discussion of your selection. Choose carefully. Here are the cars to choose from for Race 1.

Points
The Points will be awarded as follows
1st - 50 points - 4 point gap
2nd - 46 points - 3 point gap
3rd - 43 points - 2 point gap
4th - 41 points - 1 point gap
5th - 40 points - 1 point gap
The rest of the fields points will reduce by 1 point per place.
Teams
Teams will consist of 2 drivers.
Teams are not mandatory, if you don't have a team mate or don't want one you are very welcome to race in the Solo Championship.
Other Rules
NO CHEATING OF ANY KIND
All races must be 100% wall free. 2 wheels must be on the track at ALL times (Ripple/Rumble strips are part of the track). There is no exception to the above 2 rules, if you touch a wall, intentional or not, your run is not to be submitted.
THE RACES
Races will be run in Arcade & Sim Mode.
AI Drivers - AI drivers are not to be used for any racing advantage. The AI's are not to be used for cornering or braking advantages. Contact with the AI's is strongly discouraged. If contact is made you must be 100% sure there is no advantage either to your line or race time for the run to be submitted. It is recommended that if contact be made then restart your race.
No HYBRIDS! of any kind. This includes "sharked" cars.
THE CARS
The cars you will be racing in TORC 13 will be from the Arcade & Sim modes. All cars will not have any driving aids, ASM & TCS are both to be turned OFF. The cars that are in Sim mode must be run with the designated parts & settings. Deviation from this rules will result in DQ.
SUBMITTING TIMES
You are only allowed to submit 1 time per race. All times MUST be submitted from the website. Go to the website & select "Submit Times" from the menu at the top of the page, then enter ALL the required information. Please make sure all information on the form is in the correct format (0:00.000). The DEADLINE will be the DEADLINE. No late times will be accepted. If you know that your time will be late please e-mail me in advance, if you don't you WILL get a DNF! If there are any questions about time zones differences, please ask.
TIME VERIFICATION
Time verification WILL be required from all drivers. An X-Port or Sharkport replay are the only replay formats that will be accepted. You are required to send in a replay at the same time of your time submission. If you do not send your replay in with your time will receive a BLACK Flag, unless prior arrangements have been made with myself. Multiple people will view all questionable replays.
PENALTIES & DISQUALIFICATION
Penalties will be issued for the following reasons.....
Drive Through: When a driver has 1 "minor" incident in his race. For example 3 wheels off the road for a fraction of a second or a wall brush that slows the car by only a few kph.
Stop 'N' Go: When a driver has no more than 2 "minor" incidents (as mentioned above) in the race.
BLACK FLAGS: When a driver has clearly broken the "wall free" or "2 wheels" rule. When a driver has broken the "wall free" or "2 wheels" rule & gets a time advantage. When a driver has more than 2 "minor" incidents in his race. The penalty for a BLACK FLAG would be exclusion from the race results.
DISQUALIFICATION: When a deliberate race line is taken that breaks any Torc rules, when a driver has cheated in any way. A Disqualification is issued when you have deliberately tried deceiving people with your times or deliberately broken any of the rules.
The consequences for a Drive Through or a Stop 'N' Go will depend on the incident. At the very least you will be relegated behind all the drivers that completed a clean race.
FINAL THOUGHT
This season of Torc contains facilities for a penalty system for "minor" incidents in a driver's race. This doesn't mean that you are allowed to abuse this fact. You are still required to run a wall free & 2 wheels on the track race. If you have to watch your replay more than a few times to try & decide if it is illegal or not, I suggest that you run the race again. We are all responsible OLR drivers & should be reading the rules & posts thoroughly. Also we are all able to double-check the times before hitting that submit button. Remember, keep all of your replays until the season is over. This will help avoid any problems with verification. And most of all, enjoy yourself!
