Torque Loss

Ok, this seems very odd to me but I don't know enough about cars in general to know whats up.......

Right now I only own one car, the SVT Mustang. I have upgraded it with almost all of the available upgrades and it now runs well (if quite a bit loose) at about 690 hp.

The question is this......Under "specs" for the 'Stang it shows a Torque of only 87 ft/lbs at something like 5500 rpm. This seems very low to me. A stock stang had way more than that, and I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that Torque was a good thing. What is causing my torque loss?

OK, enlighten me, please.......

There was an error in almost every single car in the game when converting the torque from the Japanese game to the English version... one decimal place was lost in the process. Just multiply your number by 10, and that should give you the correct readout for your cars. :)
 
Yeah, I was thinking myself that that's a bit high, but I don't know what else to think of it...
