I can't officially run this, but I can create the idea...which is simple: a group of fast cars like Viper ACRs and a group of slow cars like the FIAT 500 on the track at the same time. I think a race like this would be fun and challenging considering the faster cars would be fast enough to lap the slow cars a LOT, so it would be a challenge to everyone to avoid each other. And...can you imagine getting stuck being the slower traffic in a race like that?

I like Vipers and Fiat 500s, but you could also use Corvettes and Beetles, GT-R's and Cubes, LF-As and Priuses....stuff like that...Both cars have to fun to drive though, so the Prius might not work. But doesn't it sound like fun?

Sounds like a mixed class race. Been done several times, but in most cases with various race cars.
Like: LMP/GTE, GT500/GT300 etc.

One series that's currenlty beeing held is PURE | CALM.

But those are somewhat close compared to a Dodge Viper and a Fiat 500.

We've done many 2-speed events like this in the VCRC, dating back over a year.
Very fun!!
We will likely do more if there's enough interest in that. 👍

I understand that similar things have been done but normally the close are a little pretty close. My idea is having a B-class car and more of a GT1 or GT2 class car on the same track. Like the Viper and Fiat 500. A speed difference so great that the slower class is getting lapped every few laps which would create a challenge to both classes, because in the corners, the faster cars would be stuck going really slow, and in the straights, especially if a battle is going on in the Tortoise class, the Hairs would have to dodge them.

I'd say there's a pretty big difference between the Honda s500 '63 & the Honda s2000 '06

But trying to get people together who actually want to race vipers and or Fiat 500 would probably be the rub with that combo. Probably not a lot of the same people would be flocking together much.
I also think those 2 cars in particular are not extremely popular generally.

In short, I wouldn't consider proposing a race with a Viper & a Fiat 500 as the 2 cars... Simply because there's really nothing there to sell that particular combo as specifically fun.

Now, I would consider say... A Ferarri and a low power antique sports car. Something where there's a theme and some reason you would put the 2 together.
