Im attempting to gold this special event tomorrow because i just golded the Toscana night race and im exhausted. This is my last special event that i need to gold to plat GT5. Im using a wheel though and ive heard that rally racing is better to do with a DS3 so now im wondering whether this is so. And since i havent compete in rallying in years what would be the best setting to make this event a bit easier? I just fixed it.

I just fixed my post. Sorry for the mix up, yeah i meant a rally not a drift race.

Most wheel users I know also prefer to drift with DS3.

Isn't it "Dirt" instead of "Drift"? I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Grand Tour in Special Events, there is LP 670-4 on Toscany tarmac at night (which you've finished) and then it's time trial on Toscany dirt track with Focus RS WRC.

Indeed. If you're trying to drift there, you'll obviously not get a gold on it.

It's a time trial with the drift trial physics. It basically reduces your grip (like a drift trial would) but puts you in time trial mode.

Basically it's like driving a car with smooth plastic wheels on a track that's been coated in butter. Good luck to ya, OP. I barely managed bronze on this.

I agree, though. This might be one of the hardest events out there. Just keep trying. Practice makes perfect.

So does anyone have any advice as to whethere to use a wheel or a DS3 and what would be a good drving settings?

🤬:gtpflag:OMFG. i just golded this event on the 4th try. I just had to adjust the 4wd power distribution to 50/50. OMFG this is awesome i just finished golding all special events.:nervous::):yuck:
