Hi,

I have been lurking in these forums for a while now and finally decided it was time to be a member.
I am looking to purchase a RSeat, actually the wife says I can have 2. What I am looking for is some help from any members that have purchase an RSeat that live in Canada, specifically the Vancouver area.

I am just looking to see what my total cost are going to be with shipping and duties etc... Also the time it took to deliver.

Thanks,

Well your in luck I live in Mission and just bought a Rseat Evo 3 the total cost of 1 Rseat including shipping was 743.95 now that price includes all taxes and duty at the boarder. It took about 2 weeks or so too get it in my hands. Just go on there site set up an account and start your order it will give you the total price once you get to a certin point with out acctualy making a completeing the order. Hope this helps and by the way I too came from the land if playseat and trust me you are making the right decision by jumping up too the Rseat. One thing too keep in mind is the seat it self, it is a real bucket seat and a snug fit if you are a large man I am 6'1 210 lbs and I fit but it is snug.

Just as an option you could get an Obutto cockpit for $469 CAD shipped right to your door from www.getgadget.ca. If I recall they're shipped from BC

I bought one last summer to ship to Toronto. I had it in 3 days, no tax, no nothin'

I'm typing this from my rSeat Evo V3 right now. You can't go wrong with one. Very solid and surprisingly comfortable. I love mine.

Thanks, someone like you was who I was hoping to come across. So $743.95 was your total cost, does RSeat cover all the costs from their side? I assume this was delivered right to your door? I am actually in Langley so I could ship to the border and pick it up there.

I am not too worried about fitting into the seat, I am all of 5'7 and 150lbs so it isn't an issue.

Thanks and I know the Obutto is a popular product, but like the look of the RSeat and the design. It lacks shelf for a keyboard and mouse but I am currently a console racer so it is not an issue, and if I transition over to PC racing I can always setup a side table.

RSeat is selling the older version of the seat for $399 or roughly $150 less. It means drilling some holes to accommodate the Fanatec wheel but I have already done that twice for the Playseats. That works out to $37.50 a hole.

Or you can get the old frame for $250 and then find some seats for it. There appear to be a few options available.

Check out the Raceroom RR2000 as an option.the seat looks more comfortable.

Your right I like the look of the seat but overall I prefer the RSeat. I have been looking for a while and the RSeat seems to be the best fit for me overall.

Understood.

Just figured I would mention it since from what I have read they are both nice. The rseat looks easy to get into and the rr2000 looks strong but harder to get into. I would love to see them both side by side.

Rseat aint that good mate pain in the ass quite litraly really un comftable unless your fat as that would be only padding dontr expect any from the seat :P

i say you could make it out of wood , let me know if you need dimensions i'll measure my rseat

The lack of padding is easy too fix just take the seat pad too your local foam shop and they can cut a hunk of better foam for it I had one cut for me cost a whole $ 11.94

Yes ripster that was right too my door well my wife's works door as I didn't want FedEx leaving it on my door step if I wasn't home. Rseat bills u for the shipping when u pay for the seat so it is all on one bill.

That's actually a good idea. I wonder if I can have mine shipped to work. Hmm...

Actually my background is in engineering not that I have done any of that in the last 20 years. But the frame on the RSeat looks stronger to me, just based on the cross-section of the tubing they are using. I like things that look over built, there seems to be a lot of adjustability with it as well.

Thanks, but I think I am pretty much sold on the RSeat or I will wait for something that catches my eye.

The Ricmotech RS1 was interesting though.

Interesting. I'm 6' and about 185 lbs. I've sat in it for hours and find it to be plenty comfortable. I do not find the "thin" cushion to be thin. I read a bunch of how it hurt to sit in for a long period and there isn't any padding. So far not one person has complained about it to me who has tried it. Granted i'm the only one who as put in a few hours at a time, but it's been great for me.

I think each person is different on what is comfortable for them so to say it's uncomfortable unless you're fat is a blanket statement that doesn't apply.

iam 6ft ish and slim build so i litraly sit on the bones of my ass , i have no bottom just a hole :scared:

The Rseat is well built it weights in at a little over 60 lbs the upright for the steering wheel is super strong a good portion of the weight is in the up right there is more then enough adjustment for any one too set it up for them selves

Sorry Koikeeper67 but I just wanted to confirm again. I just registered and ran it through it the total cost was $646.48 per seat. Were duties that you paid seperately? Or am I correct in assuming that RSeat took care of everything.

Thanks,

Nevermind... I just realized that it appears they charge the same extra charges for one seat or two which seems a little strange.
