Well, the song above says all. What do you guys think of preordering, the day-1 patches, stupid extras and DLC that should be part of the game originally?

I have to agree with TB that publishers just went a step too far with it all. Possible more than a step as it seems more of a big leap of greed to me.

Anyways, I just wanted to share the video. Feel free to discuss the topic as so nicely sung with some auto-tune by our favourite cynical Brit. :)
 
Pretty funny from TB.

I actually glaze over all the dlc pre purchase stuff and tend to buy the game when its patched. Games needing accounts to redeem items in complete editions I don't even bother with, other times I'm unaware what the DLC is I'm getting or remain uninterested in it.
 
Stopped buying games day one this generation as there is just too many problems. The bonus of this is that I am saving myself a fortune though as they all have come down in price by the time they are ready. GT6 is the prime example.

I can no longer think why anyone would buy a game day one at full price anymore. There is just no reason that I can think of.
 
I haven't bought a game day one as a trend since the NES days. There are two recent examples where the trend was broken, Super Street Fighter 4 and GT5, both of which I preordered without regrets.
