hi :) fun series balang, thanks for running it 👍 i have a question...

can we use a different trio of bikes for each round, or must we stick to our selection for round 1 for the entire series?

Nah...I'm pretty sure that once you decide you're trio of bikes you have to stick with them throughout the balance of the series.

i hope i still can entre this just for fun.

mthielen-#6
team- Racing for Belgium

Ducati 999 RM
MV Agusta Brutale MV
i'll skip the 250 SB class

i like to ride European bikes ^^

Yep entries always welcome.

OK, here are the standings from the last round, for the team standings i didnt know what system to use, so i thought it would be best to make an average of the individual points, so I had to adjust the points for each class accordingly to not give any advantage to people entering classes with less people.
With the new addition of a team, the points system will be the same, the person in last will get 0, otherwise it would be unfair for people that entered and would have gotten more points for the same position the round before if that makes any sense... suggestions are very welcome to make sure you think the system is good and fair.

Is it okay if I jump in for a few. Just dusted off TT and passed all the licenses last night. Mostly bronze. Any suggestion as to which class would be best for me? 250cc? Bike Manufacturer? I'm the ultimate noob on this stuff. Can I use the Honda Goldwing? LOL. Which race view is preferred. Bumper?, Windshield or behind the driver. Not really worried about the points. LOL. Gotta give you guys some laughs.

I haven't managed to give this round a go yet. I just bought a new TV and I've been too busy enjoying the extra HD and digital channels I can now receive. :p

I think I'm limited to the 250cc class for now until I win more challeges and races. Knocked out a few last night. Which race view is the preferred choice here?

i use chase-cam. the onboard and mudguard cams make me feel sick with the tilting :yuck:

never had that problem when i rode for real. maybe if i tilted my head like i would irl, that'd help?

something to try anyways :D

You're right about the motion stuff. I'm so used to the bumper cam in GT4 though.

well i took me a long time but the feeling for the track is returning to me :-)

i'm almost at my old lvl, their is still a little time to find with the Duke

Not as bad as I thought. Ran Laguna in the 250cc class just to see where I was. Same bike as the rest. Running in the low 1'40.xxx. Using AT. I know MT's faster. Have a carpal tunnel thing. And standard. Still playing with the settings etc. It helps that I know the track well. Exp. with the Abud's current GTPLMS series and Austin343's completed Supercar short races. Not so with Valencia. But I like the track. Are we discussing T's here? Haven't seen it yet. Found it helpful over there. Gave me a benchmark to shoot for.

Finished about 20% of the challenges and starting the races. No room for error like GT4. Off the track by a foot or a small bike bump and it's over or a 10 sec time penalty.

edit: I may not have made myself clear. When mentioning T's, I mean T1, T2, etc. Not final times. Just like the GT4 races. My bad. Thanks for the info mthielen.

a bit like IRL. On bikes the margine of error is so much smaller then with cars. That's why i love this game so much. And the track too, just a split second to late on the brakes and u miss the apex and you can sa goodbye to a good laptime.

FWIW, I think the points should be the same between the various classes. I can't imagine anyone is that concerned about the overall team championship.

Just sent my time in. I'm not really happy with it, I think I could've gone at least a second faster. I really like the Valencia circuit, but I'm really not very good at it. :indiff:

hi :) liking a track usually helps in going well there. how are you suffering, what's going on with your lap?
I just can't seem to every get anything right on this circuit, either my lap would be real slow or I would just make too many mistakes, I can never find a medium. The things which get me most of the time are the deceptively tight corners and I tend to unintentionally lean back while entering turns 4 and 5.

Hopefully the next round goes better! 👍

i'm having that problem in turn 3.

I always try to take i all out, but the Duke tends to slide away then, maybe i should raise the front a bit (who knows ^^)

Any advice as to racing form? Should I go with one of the presets or do my own? Which might be a disaster.
And a video I saw on the Tube. If you guys have seen it already. My bad.

7min35s, Nurburgring Nordschleife, GSX-R1000K7

PS. Picked up the Prima Books strategy guide for TT. To replace the first one that I got brand new for free. My wife not much of a gamer like me and my three boys, 18,16 and 12 threw it out by mistake. Paid 1.69 + s&h for it from goodwill of IL. Should be here in about 1-2 weeks.
