hi :) imo, you'd be much better off arriving at a riding form that feels good to you by trial and error

i haven't read the guide you refer to, but i expect it tells you what effect each adjustment has

try some, see how you like them. if you don't, change it a little at a time

my times are in, looking forward to seeing the results :D

Times submitted.

I predict a 2nd or a 3rd in Super 1000, since I know RacerPaul goes well there & mthielen practically lives there. :sly:

Might have a shot at the win in 250SB. :scared:

I'm sticking with the TBD team name for now, since it worked in the first round.

Ok, sorry for the wait. Here are the results of the Tourist Trophy Time Attack Championship at Valencia.

New team from Belgium does an astonishing quick lap in the Super1000 (if riders wish for proof hopefully we can sort something out*) putting them straight into a decent overall place.

Consistent results from DJ Baker and RacerPaul as they fight for top spots in the overall championship, DJ Baker taking the edge.

With a few more teams now competing the competition stiffens and it's nice to see a fuller pack.
Team Bellomo Motorsport not making it to the event.

Next round coming up soon.

* I havent requested to keep any proof yet in the race information, but after today with a huge margin between 1st and 2nd in the Super1000 I may ask for the teams to keep a replay of their laps until the end of the race after. (not doubting your skills mthielen :D)
This is just incase any other team out of curiosity or proof wish to see a lap.

Here are the current Championship standings:

Sorry for the little mistakes ive been making :D

i reckon it's going very well, balang 👍

as far as keeping replays goes, that's common sense and i keep mine for a week

as i have done in the past over at motogp boards, if any pal user needs a replay converted
to video so that the ntsc riders can see it, i can do that

roll on round 3!

I save mine for a while. It bores the heck out of my kids. LOL. Oh boy Dad. Another racing replay. 2 weeks ago my 16yr old said I needed to play a different game than GT4. When he saw me playing TT he rolled his eyes. It is another game, right?

I have a maxdrive. Can those be uploaded somewhere, i.e. YouTube. And where would I go to find out the steps.

sure, no problem mt 👍 i've still got your video of the 7Honda at Valencia too, nice job :D

is that still your pb?

tt only saves and transfers replays as .dat files, which need converting to a viewable video format before uploading to youtube etc. i use
a Dazzle DVC 130 to get my replays from the PS2 to my PC

What do you guys think of the overall points system? Im not sure if the average system makes it completely fair...

to my shame, i don't even understand it, much less be able to give an opinion :dopey:

i'm just giving each round a good effort and see where that gets me in the tables

looks like i'm doing ok at the moment :D

yea that's still my PB, but in a few weeks time i'm gonna try and beat it. Gonna be hard but it still is worth trying as this already stands like 2 years :-/

oldmodelt ask me a question on how the points system worked.

Heres what I wrote, hope this clears..

I decided to use a different points scale for each category to help the overall standings. Basically I could have given 1st 10 points, 2nd 6, 3rd 4 and so on for all the classes.... but when it comes to the overall standings a person could have entered only
the 250SB class... comes 2nd and gets 6 points, while someone who entered only the Super1000 class comes 2nd and gets 6 points, but because there is more competition in the Super1000 I needed to make the points worth more for Super1000 than 250SB. Obviously if you win in either you should get the full 10 points. There is obviously a flaw in this system, there may be more competition in the Super1000 but the level of skill might be lower than the 250SB, making it easier to earn points in that class. Unbalancing how much each class position is worth.
So my system is based on an assumption that more people in a class the harder its going to be get a higher place, because more people equals more competition... but this is only an assumption, making the system not perfect.
The overall points standings is based on average score for each round and class. I did this as to not favour people running more classes as they would gather more points, so the people concentrating on one class can still be competitive in the overall standings.
Hope this clears things up, ask any more questions if you need.

I think the confusion with the points system comes from trying to work something out for an overall team championship. I've never heard of such a thing over a variety of different classes. Personally, I don't care about the overall championship. If I did, I would have entered the Naked class. I've had my fill of those bikes elsewhere though. :sly:

As I stated before, I think the points should be the same in each class. I don't think I should have the points advantage that I currently do in the 250SB class just because there weren't many entries at first, or for the sake of the overall championship points.

I want to make it clear that this is in no way a shot at Balang. I appreciate the effort that you are putting in. I just think you're making it a little more complicated than necessary.

If anyone stateside is interested in reviewing any of my laps, I can upload the NTSC replays on TTBikeSim.com where they can then be downloaded.

Ditto for the effort Balang. And thanks for making your replays avail DJ Baker. No hurry. I'm sure I can learn a ton. Looking forward to the next race. Got my guide from Prima today. Ready to kick butt. LOL.

I agree the points system is weird, and its never too late to change to a normal system. If people wish, Ill change the system to a normal one with equal points in all classes.

Next round coming up now, so if you want it to change please write in the Round 3 thread.

I'm out of town this weekend at a real track. I'll upload replays for the first two rounds sometime next week.

My NTSC replays for the first two rounds are now available here: http://ttbikesim.com/community/
For anyone not familiar with TTBikeSim, you download the replay, put it on a USB stick, then transfer it into TT in Replay Theater. Unfortunately, you have to do it one replay at a time, since the names of the replay files have to be the same.

those valencia times are INSANE! I'm gonna get murdered in rnd. 3 hehe. even on soft tires, I manage perhaps a 1:40 around valencia with my current setup and skill, much less a 1:33 or 1:34! maybe I just have a craptacular rider form for a ducati 999RM?

when i first started playing TT, i read on the net that riding form was every bit as important as bike set up for good times

i haven't found this to be untrue. so yes, definately have a look at your form and play about with it

imo, the asthetics of the form are important too :D
