Tournament HP

So I've done a search of my question, not sure but I don't know if it didn't give me the right thread because I worded my search incorrectly. Anyways, I have a question that I'd like to be answered. If there is a thread that I didn't find out there, please point me in the right direction.

You know when you run the FGT Championship in either B-Spec or A-Spec, you have the 5 individual races and then you have the "Tournament Race" listed before the individual races.

Well I was wondering that if the A.I. has the same problem as we do when we run the tournament when it comes to horse power. You know how as you go longer into the tournament you start to lose your horsepower because you're not able to change oil (at least I've never found a way to change the oil during the tournament). I mean because when you run the individual races you can change oil after every race to restore the HP back to where it was before you ran the race.

So if we can't change the oil during the tournament we're forced to lose HP, does the A.I. have the same problem or do they stay at peak HP for the start of each race??


Once again if this has been answered and I overlooked the thread with the answer in it then I apologize.
 
I only know that you can win the championship by adjusting your gears properly, and the correct tuning, as they will hit the rev limiter on long straights...

Search for some good tunes in the tuningforum. Helped me a lot. 👍
 
That's not really the answer I'm looking for. I've got a great tune for it, I was just wondering if when running the tournament that the CPU loses horsepower after each race because they can't change their oil just like myself.

Well, I don't think you will find out, because you can't check their vehicles!
But, with proper PD logic, they should actually gain Hp :lol:

Lol that's the thing that scares me, that they get more HP as their engines get used. Ya that's true, you can't see it, but if they wanted this game to be "realistic" then you'd have to assume they would lose HP along with us. Just wish I knew the answer.

The reason why I'm asking it because I'm doing the tournament now, and I don't want to have to go spend 500k on an engine tuneup. Since I already have 20 more HP above them to begin with after my oil change, I would hope I could stay at least that 20 above them prior to every race if they lose HP at the same rate that I do.
 
Your Hp will not be a problem, after I had the right tune I won every race with 1 lap ahead on most of the cars.

Those are the real keypoints for these races, Tuning and concentration.

I don't think HP lose would be anything to worry about during a championship as it would happen rather slowly and not just drop power like a lead balloon.
 
Yes, the car will lose hp during race. you can see by going to the tuning mode before each race. But it doesn't drop by alot.

unless you over use your FGT you will always have more BHP then them.... my FGT has 936 BHP, AI has far less even when i need an oil change
