Toyota AE86?

Where can I find and buy an AE86 Trueno/Levin/Sprinter (I dont know exactly the differences between them...)??? Is it collectable or you can find it someday in the used car list? Please I want to drift like Initial D!!!

Regarding the differences between the different cars, there are basically two:

The AE86 Sprinter Trueno

It has drop-down headlight and only a very small grille.

The AE86 Corolla Levin

The Levin comes with fixed headlights and a bigger grille.

Both cars are available as hatchbacks or coupes (dunno whether all versions are in GT5, though).

The one from Initial D is the Sprinter Trueno, by the way.

Actually the car that inspired the Initial D "86" is in the game. It belongs to the creator of Initial D. It is a pleasure to drive such a well balanced car. Look for it in the UCD.

I hope they make this car premium in the next updates. A drifting school in the special events menu, taught by Keiichi Tsuchiya would be awesome too.

The one from Initial D is the Sprinter Trueno, by the way.

Takumi Fijiwara drives the AE86 Trueno, while his best friend Itsuki drives a AE85 Levin, their is also a charcter seen in the 2nd and 4th stages of the anime and he drives an AE86 Levin(first with a trubo and then changed to a supercharger).

So both are in Initial D.

The Toyota Trueno AE86 S.S version is Takumi

The "86" Takumi drives from the 2nd stage onwards has a different engine than a stock Trueno. It's a Group A race engine. The AE86 in the game has the race engine, but in the game it only revs to about 10,000 RPM, while in the cartoon Takumi can rev it up to 11,000 RPM.

Definitely look out for this one (Shuichi Shigeno version), or trade. It's already set up nicely. 👍

In stock form Levin accelerates better. I think in real life Trueno cannot be turboed due to having N/A engine. In my opinion Trueno handles better. Go to GTChannel on YouTube. Watch enough videos and you'll learn.

I haven't noticed any difference between the two production cars in the game when compared stock-to-stock and indeed the "official" Nordschleife lap times board shows one being less than two tenths of a second faster than the other, with the times posted by two different drivers. It's possible that the one that felt faster than the other did so because it had fewer miles on the clock. Spec comparison reveals absolutely no difference. The S.Shigeno Version is a real kick in the pants, though. Oh and only hatchbacks are available in the game.

One glaring difference is length; The Sprinter Trueno is 4205mm long, the Corolla Levin is 4180mm long, making it eligible for the World Compact Car Seasonal Event. It's ideal.
