According to autoweek, Aston plans to upgrade Toyota's iQ and sell it as an Aston. This is completely bizarre to me. I mean, Porsche created the Cayenne and everybody thought they were crazy. Then we got used to it. Porsche did the same with the Panamera. We will probably get used to it. But a mini hatchback by Aston may take the cake as the wierdest idea in recent automotive design. Also, a Rolls-trimmed Mini is hasnt been approved by BMW yet, but just the thought of it! The Aston is going to be on the market in 2011. With 1,000 to 2,000 cars as a targeted annual production rate, it will be a rare and noteworthy spot. Normally I'd film an Aston and post it on youtube, but I'm not quite sure I'd do the same for this model- not exactly DBS-like beauty, is it? Who knows if I would ever come across such a dilemna, as the Aston would be brought to the U.S. only if the iQ comes. I'm sure some of you can find some similar instances in automotive history comparable to this, and I'd love for y'all to post it if one comes to mind. Thanks! -kevin
