does anyone have any info on the Toyota Blackbox? i cant seem to find a picture of it on the web, but i first saw it in popular science magazine-listed as a japanese-sale-only car, but production plans for the U.S were to be made around this time i think....hmm, the picture i saw looked pretty cool, so if anyone could find any that'd be great. thanks. :)

Well, it's the Toyota Bb (Blackbox). So there you go.

I remember posting the same answer about threee times already. A quick search may have been in order :)

For the U.S., it is on sale in California only. Dealerships will open across the U.S. late 2004 or early 2005. The models we have available here in the U.S. is the xA and the xB (Bb). There's Scion coupe in the works, because Toyota is killing the Celica for 2006.

Af far as I'm aware, the Scion SC is the new coupe they have... or so I saw in MotorTrend. I can figure out our scanner and post the page if you like?

The xA is the roundish one. The xB is the toaster box one.

A buddy of mine bought the xB and is now trying to "fix it up."

I still haven't spoken to him. :grumpy:

No offense but...

Why does California get everything first!? Must suck to be a Texan... That's okay, we have special edition trucks here. Anyhow, So the BlackBox is the Bb/Xb? I thought it would probably be a performance-bound edition of the Bb/Xb.

And based on a certain car magazine (I forgot which one), I seen how the next Celica could look. If they really DO look bad, maybe Toyota may have to put those pro celebrities in MKIV Supras rather than what the next Celica could be for the Long Beach thing.
