StarLight Garage presents an old school car, the Toyota Corolla from … stop, this is not about the ordinary Corolla but one, how should I say?
Let’s say a hacked car with a transplanted heart and much more, the Toyota Corolla (KE30) "NO STYLE" V8 1975.

Ironically I found this old school car on CostasDrifter Facebook page and when I saw it for the first time I just wanted to take it for a spin, just falling in love at first sight.
Also this car remembers me of the old good time during GT5, when we all hack the save files and made our own hybrids … just what we miss in GT5 and also in GT6.

So this car is needed in GT7 and PD should listen to his customers and introduce a bunch of cars where we will be able to swap any kind of parts and create unique cars.
Yep, PD and don’t forget to give us the “mentioned" Livery Editor too.

When we talk with automotive enthusiasts all over the world we came across all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colours. The one loves standard, classics, all original, muscle cars to the fully modified, technology packed, racing car aficionados. Hope you guys get the picture?

When you come across a car with ‘No Style’ mentioned on its upper windshield is a little bit odd, especially when you look at this classic Toyota and see there’s style and swagger everywhere you look.

I didn't mentioned yet but we have also the forgotten “old school” buys another niche, a segment of sport compact tuning. This 3th-generation Corolla is a pure old school example. It was a common car with only 75 horsepower under the hood.

Old school purists like to keep their builds in the era. They make mods that would have been available when the car was new but don’t cross the boundaries of today’s technology.

As every coin has two sides, the other ol school boys are more attracted to drop today’s (you could read modern if you like it) technology into their cars.

Engine swaps that deliver the power and efficiency of modern fuel injection is their drive.

Problem with some old school projects like this one are the needed one are the parts and accessories. But the guy who built this old school gem is an excellent welder who has earn his reputation while working for major Hollywood production studios.

The guy can fabricate almost anything he needed to turn his old freeway grinder into a one-of-a-kind machine built with a purpose.

When looking at the photos almost everyone will just a normal satin black Toyota Corolla from 1975 and nothing else.

But when you get closer you certainly will notice that the only parts of the car that closely resembles a Corolla is the headlights and the steering wheel … believe or not.

What are actually the modifications?

First the old drivetrain was swapped out for a more modern Lexus SC400 front and rear sub frame including the suspension.

Second the transplantation of a totally new “heart”, not just one but one from a Lexus with a respectable 250 horsepower, the 1UZ-FE gives the Corolla more than 300% more power than it’s original output. But that’s not all, when you add a supercharger Ford Terminator Cobra to the Japanese V8 it could be cranking out somewhere in the neighbourhood of 325 to 375 horsepower, depending on how much boost the blower is pushing and how aggressive the tuning is.

All those modern trimmings going under the hood and it’s outer body needed to be ‘massaged’ in order to accommodate all the running gear. Fender and quarter panel flares were added to cover up the wider SC400 suspension components as well as the sticky tires. The hood was cut with the contour of the supercharger, simply to make it fit, no hood scoop or muscle car cowl needed.

The interior of the car was also stripped until only two seats, gauges, and a steering wheel remained … only to keep the car on the road.

Anyways everything that was done to this Corolla is all meant for one purpose and that is for it to work and provide just pure car and driving pleasure.

When I read the name … “NO STYLE.” I just see the opposite of it …
… this car has "old school" style.

Nice car but I'd rather have the original car. Tuned vehicles have less change of actually getting in the game.

Japanese tuners (like Spoon and Opera) can easily get into it, but the others seems to have to struggle through that SEMA show GT award thing.
