トヨタ自動車株式会社は、第42回東京モーターショーにおいて「グランツーリスモ」とコラボレーションしたスペシャルイベント「FT-86 GRAND PRIX」を開催します。

本イベントは「クルマ本来の魅力であるワクワク感、そして操る楽しさの追求」をテーマにトヨタが満を持して送り出す新世代小型FRスポーツカーをフィーチャーしたタイムトライアルイベントです。『グランツーリスモ５』に収録された「FT-86 concept」を使って、多くの皆様に同車の持つ圧倒的なドライビングプレジャーをバーチャルに体験していただける内容となっております。

2011年11月15日（火）から『グランツーリスモ５』の配信イベント上でタイムトライアル予選を行った後、2011年12月10日（土）に東京モーターショーのトヨタブースで上位70名様のみが参加できる決勝イベントが実施されます。

優勝者にはトヨタオリジナルグッズがプレゼントされます。なお、決勝イベントではゲストによる特別タイムトライアルやトークショーも行われる予定です。惜しくも上位入賞を逃した皆様も、ぜひご観覧ください。
