Nothing concrete, so hope I'm not getting anyone's hopes up, but...

- Toyota are unveiling the latest (and what will probably end up being the production model) version of the FT86 II Concept on the 13th September at the Frankfurt motor show.

- Online is down for maintenance on 15th September.

- The FT86 II concept (featured in the video below) already exists as a GT5 model, but hasn't been released yet.

As I said, I'm only putting 2 + 2 together, but it sounds plausible right? Time for DLC?

PD are still making cars behind the scenes, Kaz has said they shall continue to make Premium cars. At this point, the best thing to do is to group them and release them as car packs. The fact the FT-86 II is in the game is a sudden swish to me as I haven't actually seen that video before. However, making the II isn't such a big deal, I imagine creating the interior is a matter of using the same system as that on the 1st FT-86 concept model. Most of the body design has been kept.

Also, that video is obviously edited, especially the sound.

And where is that at 0:54, a space tunnel?

The video has come directly from the GT5 site, I didn't know how to embed it, so linked it to youtube instead. I know the video shows a lot of different features which aren't possible in GT5, but its still 100% Polyphony content.

Link to gran-turismo.com here.

And the fact that the FT86 concept I is in GT5 already is a bit of a moot point.

If I remember correctly, it's a joint venture between Subaru and Lexus... they'll take another year or so making the final specs on it, if we're lucky.

I think this car may be coming in DLC soon, in about a month when it's shown at the next Tokyo Motor Show 👍

We might also get the Subaru BRZ which is basically the same but with 300HP compared to 200HP in the FT-86 II...

Subaru BRZ:

I hope we get the Subaru!
Still the First toyota concept looks better in my eyes.
More Flat and Slick :) The new one is to round a little bit like a beetle/350z :p

It was maroon at the IAA. And there wasn't a interior of the FT-86, too. Just blacked out windows. And Subaru had a rolling skeleton of their version.

Whoever says this car is ugly really needs to see it person. When I went to the NY Auto Show in April? (Not certain if it was then or May), they had the Scion version of the car and it looked absolutely phenomenal. I literally spent about 20-30 minutes just staring and analyzing the car. It's, really, a beautiful machine.

What is this ^^^^ :grumpy: :guilty:

Compared to the concept it looks terrible where are the LED's on the front bumper? Where is the splitter... It looks like another Toyota product then :yuck: Boring and not very sporty... (I'm only talking about the front end, the rear is not that bad tbh...)

I hope Subaru will keep the design from the concept... :nervous:
