I would really like to see the 2025 Toyota Prius (FWD) added to Gran Turismo 7.

At first, the Prius might not seem like an obvious choice for Gran Turismo. However, I think the fifth-generation Prius is exactly the kind of unexpected road car that could make the GT7 car list more interesting.

This is not the slow, ordinary Prius that many people remember. The latest generation completely changed the character of the car, both visually and dynamically.

Why the 2025 Prius?

  • 2.0L naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine
  • Fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System
  • 194 hp combined system output
  • Front-wheel drive
  • e-CVT transmission
  • Around 7.2 seconds from 0–60 mph
  • Much lower and more aerodynamic design than previous generations
  • Completely redesigned fifth-generation Prius
The new Prius has a much more aggressive and sporty design than previous generations. It is lower, wider-looking and has a much more distinctive silhouette, making it one of the most recognizable modern Toyota models.

Why would it be interesting in Gran Turismo?

I think the biggest reason to add this car is that Gran Turismo shouldn't only be about the fastest cars.

One of the things that makes the series special is being able to drive ordinary production cars that people actually see on the road, alongside supercars, racing cars and high-performance models.

The Prius is also one of the most important hybrid cars ever made. It played a huge role in making hybrid technology mainstream, and the fifth generation represents a major transformation of that original concept.

The 2025 FWD Prius is also surprisingly quick for a normal hybrid, with 194 hp and a much more dynamic character than previous generations.

I would love to be able to take it onto the tracks in GT7 and compare it with other modern hybrid and electric road cars.

It would also be a great opportunity for Gran Turismo to represent a car that is technologically important rather than simply powerful.

The design is a huge part of the appeal

The fifth-generation Prius looks dramatically different from the previous models.

The low roofline, distinctive front end, aerodynamic body and aggressive proportions make it look almost like a futuristic concept car.

That makes it particularly interesting for GT7 because it is instantly recognizable and very different from the usual sports cars in the game.

I think the Prius would be a surprisingly fun and unusual addition to the garage.

Please consider adding the 2025 Toyota Prius FWD to Gran Turismo 7!

Even though it isn't a sports car, I think it represents exactly the kind of interesting production car that makes Gran Turismo's car collection special.

If other GTPlanet members would like to see the fifth-generation Prius in GT7, please support the suggestion and let me know what you think!
