Welcome to the T(ouring) R(ear Drive) (V)8 Super Touring Car Championship! This is a unique series of racing involving three luxury V8 RWD sports cars. This is a nine-week series between yourself and 15 other racers.

An unusual rule in this series is that drivers MUST have a wheel, and their wheel has to correspond to the car they choose. For example, a driver who choose the M3 MUST use an H-shifter and a clutch, and drivers who choose the other two MUST have a wheel.

Hope you enjoy!

Racing Configuration

1. Practice
Until the start of the race, you may just practice with others on the track.

2. Qualifying Race
This is a race to determine your position on the starting grid. Laps depend on the length of the track. Note that "Qualifying Race" is shortened to "Quali Race" due to the stupid chat filter in GT5.

3. Race
The first lap will be a parade lap where you can warm your tires up. Therefore, a 18 lap race for example will be 19 laps long. Maximum speed is 120 km/h (75 mph). You must stick to this speed as closely as possible, but do slow down when you approach a tight corner. The lead car will act as a pace car. When you see that you have entered lap 2, the race is on! There is one mandatory pit!

Drivers are allowed to skip Practice and Qualification rounds if they need to, but must start at the back.

If less than 50% of the racers are present, then the race is cancelled, and no points will be awarded.

Hello man. Joining on your new series. I'm not sure right now what car to use. Let me try the Merc and Jaguar, and I'll let you know later. About the color the usual Red and Black wheels

Holy cow, I forgot to add that as well! Aero parts are unlimited.

Edit: If less than 8 racers sign up by Friday, the series will be cancelled.

Well I hope theres more interest, this series looked fun, Ive always wanted to race using the clutch with out the disadvantage. I liked the time to, good for west side of this continent.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's not due to the lack of wheel users in GT5.

I'd say it has more to do with your rules about the wheels. There are fewer people who have wheels with h-shifters, but lots of people have wheels with paddle shifters. Also, I would not race a car using the h-shifter if I knew other people in the same race were using paddle shifters because I'd be at quite a disadvantage (paddle shifter is much faster than h-shifter).

I agree and I'd like an H-Shifter only league. And yes, n H-Shifter will be seconds off to the paddle shifter.

To the OP, if there's enough people running the H-Shifter only, I may jump on in. I'll keep an eye in here.

It's just a matter of authenticity. IRL, the XK and the C63 have automatic transmissions, while the M3 (this one, at least) has a manual gear box. I have yet been in a race where I can use the H-shifter and clutch knowing that I won't be at a disadvantage.

So far, two out of the four players are using the M3.

This is a 24 hour warning. If less than eight drivers sign up, this series will be cancelled.

Really hoping to see more drivers!
