Track Lap Calculator By Coxbox
Hello GTP users my my user name is coxbox. I have not been a member of GTP too long, but decided to start my own league. Once of the areas which got me thinking was calculating the laps to race each week. This is where I decided to create a small piece of software which could do this.
The Software
The Track Lap Calculator has been designed for the users of this forum. The small application can calculate the amount of laps required to race, based on a certain distance in MI or KM. Also the software can give you a average time the race will take to complete, based on a average speed input.
Requirements
Windows XP/Vista/7
HDD space 598kb
Does not work on Linux or Mac.
Screenshots
Instructions
Using this software is simple, download the .zip and extract the .exe. Run the .exe to start the software, this should load a new window. Once the software has started enter the race and lap distance in the spaces provided in either MI or KM. If you do not know the lap distance click the track list button to load an external website with all the rack information.
Once you have entered the track and race distances, select the average speed. This figure must be selected based on the unit of measurement selected for the lap and track distance. By selecting the average speed, the average race time can be calculated. Remember, this figure does not have to be accurate, and is used to proved a guideline of the average race time.
Once this information has been entered, select calculate and the amount of laps to race and the race time will be calculated. Please remember to use this information as a guideline, though the amount of laps to race will be accurate, the race time is not 100% accurate.
Download
To download this software click the link below. This is the first version of the software, so please if you find any bugs or problems please do not hesitate to post and I will try to reply. There will also be more download links to come.
The download is a .zip file you will need software such as 7-Zip or winrar to extract the file.
