Can any GT4 owners post some observations on which tracks have the most elevation changes. Some movies would be great to demonstrate this too.

This is something I've always wanted to see more of in racing games. From what I've seen of Forza, it's pretty FLAT. How does GT4 compare?

What effects does altitude change have on your car (ie does it perform differently at higer altitudes)? I doubt there'd be much noticeable difference on any track witht he possible exception of the 'Ring and maybe Costa di Amalfi and Citta di Aria ...

Somehow I was expecting Grand Canyon to have a little more elavation change.
No, you don't race in the canyon. Just around it.

Looks like Nurb is the winner.

Most sudden elevation change would have to be Citta di Aria though.

It's almost all downhill with a steep uphil right at the end.

And that's like the 3rd greatest elevation change of all the courses.

I would agree with the comment about Citta di Aria, basically half the of the lap is up hill and the last half is downhill. The downhill section before the hairpin is really, really fast and narrow - the sense of speed is awesome.

The other track with a lot of elevation change is the Infeon Raceway road track.

el Capitan has a decent down hill section and a up and down dip after a short tunnel.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed in this department. I'm about 10% complete, and I'd really like to see the old GT2 Rome night track in. That was fairly up and down.

Nü(ALT+0252;))rburgring doesnt really have too many drastic elevation changes, but you can usually see them.

Do you race?

Eh.... your avatar pretty much shows what it does. If you don't have any hills your car won't do much jumping, and you might have to brake before you get to a hill and stuff like that.

Nurburgring Nordschleife easily - that graph shows just how much!

Been playing Project Gotham Racing 2 all weekend trying to learn it - but apparently it doesn't give a good impression of changes in gradient, there was biker on Top Gear a few weeks ago who tried to learn the track by using PGR2 and he almost came a cropper when he went on the real thing.

Apparently the GT4 version is much better.

I saw that episode. Did you get it off racingflix.com? That track in so crazy, love to go there before I die someday.

A guy tried to race on the ring using his racing lines from PGR2. Needless to say. he crashed.

Without even looking at the link Civuck provided, I would say it has to be the Nurburgring. It winds through the Eifel mountains, and is VERY hilly.
