i am a racer that has to drive his car to the limit but i keep coming acrossed the same problem, from 2nd gear to 3rd and some times in 4th the car loves to lose traction when useing more than 50% throttle and moderate curning has anyone elce had this problem? is there some way to fix this?
this is what i have tried
-better grade tires
-balast counter weight
-changing gear ratios
-strengthing/ weakeing springs

you need to get a feeling for every car and its throttle pedal.
On some cars and corners its just not possible to apply more than 10% (or even less) throttle after you hit the apex.
Instead be gentle and increase throttle slowly and steadily (but fast enough).

practice practice practice :)

in case you want to tune your cars to "behave" after the apex, i think its best to make the suspension a bit softer. This is something you dont want to have while breaking or corner coasting though...

Slow in, fast out, get the car straight before applying the power.

Don't touch the throttle until you know you can keep it on.

Take corners slowly and smoothly - make sure you touch each apex.

yeah i kind of forgot the slow in fast out thing i primarly race the dream car champion ship vs the jaguar race car 89 so im trying to hard.....

Be smooth with controls. That is propably one of the most important aspects of going fast. Sometimes "slower" is faster.

This is very hard to do with a DS3.
The reason is that the throttle control/trigger has an exponential sensitivity which maxes out at about halfway its total range. On the other side, the brake control has good controllability throughout its whole range. This is clearly a software issue, not hardware; PD should offer different control sensitivity curves in order to solve this problem which makes throttle control hard for those who don't or can't use wheels and pedals.

Longer gear ratios should help the problem a bit, as would short shifting. If your using a DS3, try and use the trigger buttons (L2,R2) for throttle and brake. They allow more control over the car and you can trail brake into corners (you can't do this with accel/brake on the right analogue stick).

Lower the Accel setting on the LSD and use racing soft tires. With the right LSD setting and decent throttle modulation, wheelspin is not usually an issue till you get over say 650-700 hp.

Summing it up...a combination of setting changes combined with technique should help you with the traction issues...unless you drive a Speed 12.

I have had the same troubles with this car too. I am not by any means a tuner but since after searching everywhere and not finding a tune I resorted to drastic measures. I tried to tune it myself... And you know what? I think I tamed it! Now to get the back out in a turn I need to really go nuts with the gas pedal. Not even sure what I did to correct it either. :P But of course throttle control is still crucial as it is in all cars.
