Trade cars across versions?

I searched and searched and searched...

Maybe it's so obviously impossible no one bothered to write anything about it, but with a lot of people complaining car XYZ which is available in one version but not in the other can't we trade cars across different versions.

If I send a memory card to someone with say the Japanese version can they copy a car onto it and send back? Probably not I'm guessing but thought I'd ask to be sure since I didn't see this answered anywhere.

No, you cannot do that. Each version is programmed with different cars. The cars are code on the disk, not in the game save.

Is it possible to trade across two identical game saves (both GT4 PAL) one which I have saved on the other memory card to save with myself.........that way I can buy cars on one........depreciate them and the sell them across to the other game save.....
