What driver's trademark celebrations are your personal favourites?

My favourite is Rubens' drunken stumble he does after taking a swig of champagne.

Followed closely by Kimi's simple and "cool" swig of champagne before spraying it.

As for celebrations I dislike or couldn't care less about are:

Alonso's weird animal poses and that holding up fingers for every win he had last year, those things just annoy the hell out of me.

And

Michael's victory leap he has been doing this year, it seems so forced compared to his previous years as if Jean Todt or Luca Montezemolo had told him to start doing it again because of their comeback this year or something.

Mine is Michael Schumachers signature victory podium leaps, of course :D Yes I know that there has been a couple of cheesey ones, as mentioned in the 'Spying in F1' thread! But its just real cool, because he has just won the race and he is really happy about it and he shows it on that top step!

I agree about your FA quote! But not about the Michael Schumacher one! He has only been on that top step twice, so far this year! Why would you think that it is forced and also that he would have been told to do it

I like Fernando's "moves." They always make me laugh, even if I have no idea what the heck he's doing. At least it's something different. And the fact that animal-rights activists get pissed off at him makes me like it even more :)👍

I think the way a driver celebrates on a podium reflects their personality. Rubens is typically very emotional and passionate. Schumachers is a typical arrogant leap saying 'I'm better then everyone because I can jump". Alonso has a little bit of excitement in it and a fair bit of mucking around and being stupid like most of the renault team. And Kimi's is just a simple 'yay I won, and this champagne tastes like crap'.

David Coulthard looking unhappy because he could have won (back in 1998-1999). He's never happy really.

That is so not true!

But you have you're opinions!

I like it when Kimi's anywhere on the podium. He just doesn't seem interested in anything, he usually takes a big swig of champagne, then hides from the comotion.

Antisocial behaviour is funny.

Alonso's crap doesn't do a lot for me, that animal welfare attention's funny though.

Michael's jump's pretty forced of late, I'd probably rather he didn't do it.

I like that Michael Schumacher’s biggest fan doesn’t know how many races her favourite driver has won this year.

Bit of a slip up there...

Unfortuntaly he hasn't been up there enough to get used to the feeling...

I'm sure it's a PR gimick dreamed up by Ferrari, milking the crowd for all it's worth... I don't usually watch the celebrations, as soon as the race is over it's telly off and doing house stuff or keeping an eye on my daughter. It's only the racing I'm interested in anyway...

That's cause he's a dour Scotsman, they never smile...

Yeah I would agree with that observation...

I love Alonso's celebrations, they give me a good laugh. :D

I hate the whole thing. The national anthem, the champagne, the stupid poses.

Does every week of this sport have to be such a huge celebration? I say they should have one ceremony at the end of the last race of the season and do it then.

The only driver that would've benefitted would have been Monteiro at Indianapolis last year.

I think when drivers win, they should be able to celebrate on the same day.

The WRC also has champagne after every race.

I meant that they should only have a podium for the top three finishers in the driver's championship and one for the constructor's. Doing it every race is silly and tiresome.

You could just turn the TV off for the podium celebration...

I like Luca di Montezemlo going spastic when 1 of the Ferrari's wins. Monaco 1975 looked funny, looked like he was beating up Clay Regazonni.:nervous:

Well I am glad that you enjoyed that!

Sorry Schumi :indiff: My mistake, three wins for you so far this year! I don't know what I was thinking...

But all mistakes aside, I know that you will finish this year on a high! I just really hope that it is with the championship title, crowning you Formula 1's 8 times World Champion! Bring it Schumi...

Careful, you might have to eat those words when Alonso collects his 2nd championship win...
